Sally Hansen Triple Shine Pt. 1 - The Sheens

Hey guys! Today I have a bit of a random swatch spam to show you. I'll be breaking these posts into 3 posts because there are so many Sally Hansen Triple Shine polishes I have swatched that i'll show you! Today I will be showing the sheens. There are 6 in total and they are quite sheer on their own so can either be built up alone, or shown over a black/dark base colour. I'll be showing them over a black base. I used 1 coat of Black Onyx by OPI followed by 1 coat of Sally Hansen Triple Shine polishes. I did notice that these sheens were a bit tricky to apply and left brush stroke lines on the nail but nonetheless the final result still looks cool. Here's a look!

Blow Bubbles - In the bottle this is a medium magenta-pink that when on the nails translates to a beautiful purple/pink.
Clam Up - In the bottle is a very light pearlescent pink with red sparkly undertones. The end result is very similar to Blow Bubbles but more of a muted look.

Drama Sheen - In the bottle is a very light pastel lilac with a dark purple shimmer - it translates onto the nail as a deep bright purple.

Flame On - Although this polish was opaque enough on its own, I still decided to try it over black because it did have a slight sheen texture to it. I'm glad I did it over black because it made it pop beautifully. It is a cherry red with red/purple shimmers in it.

Make Waves - In the bottle this polish is more of a aqua colour with green undertones. On the nail it becomes a super vibrant emerald green colour with yellow undertones. So pretty!

Pool Party - This is a very sheer light baby blue with a medium blue shimmer undertone. On the nail it becomes a gorgeous sky blue - it is so pretty!

So which colour over black is your favourite? I'm torn between pool party and make waves! Thank you for reading and have a great week ahead!

Enter my international giveaway to win 1 of 4 nail polish bundle packs!

Hello everyone! Today I have 4 of the new Sally Hansen Fuzzy Coat nail colours to show you! (RRP $9.95 from Priceline) They are super awesome matte bar glitters in a clear base but they give the illusion of hairy/fuzzy nails! They were very easy to apply and I used 1 coat on each combination you will see below. Here are the looks!

Sally Hansen - Fuzz Sea*: a mix of sea foam light green and dark green bar glitters. 1 coat shown here over 2 coats of China Glaze - Kalahari Kiss*.
I found it really hard to capture this combination!
Sally Hansen - Peach Fuzz*: a yellow and orange bar glitter mix. This 1 coat looked so amazing paired on top of 2 coats of China Glaze - Too Yacht To Handle*

Sally Hansen - Tweedy*: a really awesome mix of black and white bar glitters. This combination also looked really striking! I used 1 coat of Tweedy over 2 coats of China Glaze - Highlight Of My Summer*.

Sally Hansen - Wool Knot*: a mix of blue and white bar glitters. I used 1 coat here over 2 coats of Ciate - Big Yellow Taxi. I wore this look for 5 days and received so many compliments!

Have you picked up any of these new Sally Hansen Fuzzy Coat colours? They are so cool! My favourite is definitely Tweedy! Thanks for stopping by!

Pink Glitter Nails + My Ombre Hair!

Hello everyone how are you on this Friday afternoon? I am very good and have a gorgeous new glitter polish by Sally Hansen to show you. This colour, called Be-Jeweled is from the new Gem Crush collection. Be-Jeweled is a dense pale purple glitter in a clear base with a peachy-pink glitter scattered. I bought this beauty at Priceline on special for $8 and also for Australian girlies, Priceline sells OPI Shatters now, for only $10! I was excited when I saw they stocked OPI, but disappointed they only sell shatter, a bit over them now! Anyway, back onto today's swatch. I applied 1 coat of Color Club - Foil Me Once and then applied 3 coats of Be-Jeweled. My nails are pretty thick at the moment, but I also applied 1 thick coat of SV to smooth it all down! In today's post i've also attached a picture of my DIY-ombre/balayage hair. It is practically the same concept as gradient nails but with hair (from the root (dark) to the ends (light). I thought you'd like to see it :) Here we go!

Sally Hansen - Blazing Blue + CND Effects - Sapphire Sparkle

Today I skipped over to Kmart to pick up some cheap BYS nail art lacquers which were on special for $2 (thanks to kelly over at kellyskolors for informing me!) and while I was scrummaging through the discounted and clearance bins I saw a really pretty Sally Hansen Insta-Dri colour called Blazing Blue for only $4 so I snatched that one up right away! Blazing Blue is a gorgeous deep blue with emerald reflective shimmers. Stunning! So today I painted two coats of Blazing Blue on and for the record, the brush is horrendous! It is lop-sided and wonky! Uh oh! I still managed to do a half decent job but nevertheless it's a bad brush! I then remembered a blog post I saw almost a year ago where CND Effects - Sapphire Sparkle was applied over a really similar navy deep blue. Sapphire Sparkle is an impressive layering polish used as a top coat to add dimensions and different colours to it. Let's just say, I was in heaven when I saw the colours on my nails! I love when my nail colour looks this good, it truly makes my day! Anyway I applied 1 thin coat of Sapphire Sparkle followed by SV. You need to try a combo like this immediately!

At certain angles my nails flashed blue glitter and then other angles it would flash a gorgeous ruby/magenta shimmer!

P.s. . pic heavy! Some of these photos are absolutely stunning if I don't say so myself but i'll let you be the judge of that!

I'm really impressed with my little Canon camera taking such clear images like this one just above! Makes me really happy when I can show you EXACTLY what I see on my nails!

Do you have a favourite under colour with a CND effect?

Thanks for reading!
