Clarins - Extra-Comfort Foundation SPF15

Hi everyone! Today I have a new foundation from Clarins called Extra-Comfort* to show you. This foundation has an exclusive formula that plumps, hydrates and deeply nourishes. It contains a plant micropatch that helps control skin shine while also helping to balance moisture to the drier parts of the face. It is infused with argan oil and can be worn for up to 14 hours. It is a mineral-based foundation with an SPF 15. This foundation is available in 6 shades and retails for $80. It is definitely a luxury item and I would only use it sparingly for special occasions but you do get a lot in the tub (30mL).

I really like this foundation. It is really light weight but has high coverage so you can either apply decent sized amount to cover the whole face or just blot it onto any blemishes you may have. The colour; 107 biege suits me really well and gives me a nice dewy glow. I don't generally wear foundation but lately I have been breaking out so I decided to test it out all day. *Beware of ugly looking blemishes soon to come*. It didn't move at all on my face and I wore it for about 6 hours. It looked really fresh and made me look more awake also. Also, this product smells amazing. Clarins has a specific smell to their products, and if you know it, then you can relate! Also just to mention - my blemishes were really red so it was a bit harder to cover up completely as I needed to conceal with a green concealer prior to applying foundation.

I definitely need a beauty blender to blend it in better - but for now my fingers will do! Thanks for reading.

Clarins - New Products for 2013 (Lipstick & Concealer)

Hey guys today I have two new products by Clarins to show you! The first product is the Instant Concealer* (RRP $42) which is a cream concealer that instantly refreshes the eyes, hides dark circles, smooths eyes and reduces puffiness. It contains a caffeine extract to stimulate the skin and helps to decongest skin from signs of fatigue. It works similar to veil by using a hue that is opposite of that of a dark circle so it neutralizes the dark circle and allows the skin to have an even skin tone. This concealer is available in 3 shades; 01 Light, 02 Medium and 03 Dark. I have trialled 02 Medium for a week now and am loving how creamy and dewy it makes me look. It does a great job at covering any imperfections and dark spots and works as a semi to full coverage (buildable). This concealer is set to be released on the 7th of October and is a brilliant and super hydrating concealer!

The second product is the Limited Edition Instant Smooth Crystal Lip Balm* (RRP $34). I am showing you the shade 08. Crystal berry, which is a lovely sheer cranberry colour. The awesome thing about this lip balm is that it delivers lipstick true colour due to the colour heart but also has a crystal balm surrounding the actual lipstick colour. It's really neat and reminds me of the Benefit - Fake Up technology - but in a lipstick version! This lip balm is buildable for a darker colour payoff. In the photos I have only applied 1 single coat but it does go darker when more coats are applied. It is super hydrating and gives a gorgeous flush of colour. I did find it somewhat difficult to apply the colour perfectly inside my lips because the colour is only in the middle of the lipstick so I just used my finger to evenly spread the colour around. This product smells like lollies...yum! This product is already released so make sure you go check it out next time you're by the Clarins counter!

Look at that amazing barrel of hydrating colour! Oh yeah!!

So what do you think of these new Clarins products? The lip balm is definitely a new favourite and the concealer is such a nice product to use on special occasions! Let me know if you try anything out!

Clarins - Total Cleansing Oil

Hey guys! Today I have Clarins - Total Cleansing Oil* (RRP $38 available at counters 26th August) to show you! It is the first cleanser from Clarins to effectively eliminate all resistant mico-residues linked to the use of new generation cosmetic products (e.g long hold makeup, high performance UV screens and residue of pollution). The key ingredient is organic perilla (herb of the mint family) and olive oil to help keep the skin soft and clean. I wore makeup all day and at night I used this product to remove all traces of make up and it worked very well and did not sting or burn the eyes. It is a good product but for the price you can easily find a cheaper and effective remover! When it comes to saving or splurging, I find make up removers to be a savings, but the Clarins Rouge Eclat lipstick on the other hand is a definite splurge for me!

Clarins - Rouge Prodige Lipstick in Blackberry

Enter my international giveaway to win 1 of 4 nail polish bundle packs!

Hello everyone I hope you all had a lovely weekend! Today I have a Clarins Rouge Prodige lipstick to show you in the shade Blackberry (114)*. It is a lovely dark berry leaning on brown coloured lipstick which is super hydrating and so easy to apply! It leaves a creme finish and doesn't dry out the lips. You can check out some other colours from the Rouge Prodige collection I reviewed here.

I love this colour so much but I do find that it is quite dark that I need to make my eyes look darker by putting on mascara and eyeliner to give it a whole look! Do you own any of the Rouge Prodige lipsticks? Let me know!

Clarins - Rouge Eclat Lipstick + Gloss Prodige Review

Enter my 500 follower giveaway here to win 7 nail polishes!

Hello hello everyone! Today I have some really exciting new lip products by Clarins to show you. I have 3 Rouge Eclat Lipsticks and 1 Gloss Prodige to show you. Here's a bit about the new Rouge Eclat Lipsticks

A new anti-aging lipstick that contains the Nutri-Youth Complex, an innovation from Clarins Laboratories which preserves the lips' youthful qualities.
  • Intense nutrition, suppleness and comfort in an instant thanks to an innovative combination of 100% plant waxes - mimosa, jojoba and sunflower - and unsaponifiables of cocoa.
  • Anti-aging actions on the surface and at all levels of the skin: phytosphingosine reinforces the skins protective barrier, protects against dehydration, boost collagen synthesis and fights the appearance of fine lines.
The highly nourishing cream texture glides onto the lips. With a subtle fragrance of red fruits with notes of blackcurrant and liquorice, the signature scent of Clarins lipstick. The more you wear it, the more nourished, repaired, regenerated, smoothed and visibly younger-looking your lips become.

Rouge eclat is available in 15 different shade but today I have for you; 06. True Aubergine* (as the name suggests but a tad lighter) , 07. Red Wine* (also as the name suggests but slightly with a brown undertone) and 11. Passion Red* (a stunning bright red with orange undertones).  I will tell you that all three of these lipsticks are exceptional. They are unlike any lipstick I have ever tried and although they do come with a high price tag ($38AUD), they are well worth the money, that's a promise! They are so creamy, super pigmented (only needing 1 coat) and leave your lips feeling like cashmere. I'm in love. Here are some swatches! (P.s the packaging is absolutely gorgeous too, bonus!)

Clarins - Gloss Prodige is a lip-plumping gloss with a formula that delivers intense colour, mirror-like shine and long-lasting hold. Leaves lips soft, smooth and fuller looking. Available in 10 fashion-perfect shades: Chocolate, Nude, Rose, Candy, Grenadine, Raspberry, Blackberry, Papaya, Water Lily and Vibrant Rose (two new shades for 2013). Today I am showing you the colour 0.9 Water Lily*, a gorgeous light peachy-pink with subtle shimmer undertones. It wasn't too sticky and it gives my overall appearance such a nice refreshed look. It gave this opacity in 1 coat.

I am super excited to use the products all through winter as they are sooo moisturising and I love the dark vampy colours! I also feel all the colours complement my skin tone very well. This is the most indulgent and gorgeous lipstick & gloss I've ever used and I would definitely recommend anyone to pick up at least one or even receive one as a gift. They are definitely well worth the need to make a wish list for! What do you think of these? Let me know!
