A-England - Avalon + Models Own - Indian Ocean

Hi guys!! I finally got my order from Models Own that I bought when they had 50% off everything! I picked up soooo many pretty colours so look out for them in the next couple of days! Today was a spontaneous and 'accident' combo, but it looked gorgeous! I first started off with 2 coats of A-England - Avalon (swatches of it here) the perfect plum with blue micro shimmer in it and then I applied 1 coat of Models Own - Indian Ocean, which is from their Beetlejuice collection, and as most of you will know, the colours in that collection are a bunch of amazing duochromeness'. Indian Ocean is an iridescent blue with soft pink undertones, best served over an existing colour! Just check out the photos, they explain better than I do! All photos (except the second one, which is indoors with artificial light) show photos outdoors in the shade.

OPI - Plugged In Plum

Hey guys! Just a quickie today :-) Plugged In Plum by OPI, is probably one of the very first OPI polishes I bought and I still love it as much as I do back then. It is just the perfect plum colour and the formula was easy to use, needing only 1 coat for each nail! I could have done a second coat, but with this colour, and also other colours, the first coat and the second coat can change the colour of the polish a bit, especially with purples, or very dark colours that have a green, purple or blue base. So here is PIP, 1 coat of China Glaze - First & Last, 1 coat of PIP and 1 coat of Cult Nails Wicked Fast.

I wish plums were in season. . I LOVE THEM! :-) Thanks for reading and have a great day/night!

OPI - Vampsterdam

Today's colour is from the Holland collection released earlier this year! It is a gorgeous deep coppery plum/aubergine which is almost a metallic! I applied 2 coats of Orly's bonder to avoid staining on my nails when I remove it. Then I applied 2 coats of Vampsterdam and it was such a breeze to apply! It did leave some brush strokes but this is to be expected with a metallic finish, nonetheless, it is still a beauty and a perfect winter colour!

A-England - Avalon

Hello! I had so much trouble capturing A-England - Avalon's true colour! It was very annoying because my camera kept making it look more blue but in reality it is a deep purple/plum with blue and magenta micro shimmer. I tried my best but you'll probably be able to find a more accurate one on another blogger's website who has a better camera! Anyway, this colour is amazing and if you don't own it, buy it! It is a real gem and if you love a good deep purple or plum, this will be perfect for you. Application was, like all the other A-England's i've tried, flawless. I applied 1 coat of Orly's Bonder, 2 coats of Avalon (but could have passed with 1 thick coat) followed by 1 coat of SV. Here are some photos!

See how different it can look? The lighting and setting that made my fingers look yellow had the most accurate colour!
