Colour Theory - Beauty Theory Line

Hey guys! Today I have a few items by Colour Theory to show you from their new Beauty Theory Line! Today i'm focusing, in particular, on the hand and nail care essentials and there are some great items available! I love Colour Theory because they are super inexpensive and have great products! To try any of these products go to your nearest Amcal, Amcal Max and Guardian Pharmacies nationally. Today I will be showing you 3 items; the Nail Polish Remover Pot (RRP $10), Crystal Nail File (RRP $12) and the Strengthener Polish (RRP $8)

The Nail Polish Remover Pot is filled with a sponge, soaked in acetone-free nail polish remover and works really well. It says on the pot to place finger in core of the foam and soak for 10 seconds. Brush nail against foam to exfoliate and remove polish. This little pot is seriously effective and works so well on regular nail polish. This doesn't remove glitter as well as regular polish though but for the price, this pot will last me ages! I'm also planning on resoaking the foam with remover once I notice it start to dry out or not remove polish as well. Love it!
The Nail Strengthener Polish is a standard base coat that helps to strengthen and protect your natural nails. I've been using this as a base coat underneath my manicures and it lasts pretty well - about 3 days with minimal chipping (but I usually change my manicures by day 2). I don't think it has strengthened my nails that much but my job is quite hand heavy (I use my fingers and nails a lot for so many things) but definitely less peeling!

The Crystal Nail File is the product I had the least luck with. At first it worked really well and filed my nails effortlessly and clean, but now, after using it for a few weeks I noticed the layer that files your nail has completely worn off and it just doesn't file my nails at all. Boo!

What products from the new Beauty Theory range will you try? Let me know!

Colour Theory - Orchid Glamour Collection

Hey guys! Today I have 2 new lipsticks and 1 nail polish from Colour Theory's latest collection called Orchid Glamour to show you. I loved trying the previous colours in this blog post here, so I knew I wouldn't be disappointed with these new products! Colour theory products can be found at Amcal and Guardian Chemists nationally.

The nail polish; named Miami Housewife is a really pretty dark magenta creme that dries slightly lighter on the nails. I used 2 coats in pictures with no topcoat. Colour Theory nail polishes retail for $4 each.

The 2 lipsticks Violetta; a purple based pink and Baarbie Girl; a blue toned light pink are both super creamy and opaque. Although Baarbie Girl didn't suit my complexion, it applied effortlessly, and Violetta isn't a colour I can wear everyday but I can't wait to wear it out one night for a rock-chick look! The lipsticks retail for $6 each.

Colour Theory - Nail Polish & Lipsticks

Nail polish and lipsticks. . . two of my favourite beauty items! Today I have some Colour Theory nail polishes and lipsticks to show you. Colour Theory is a very affordable cosmetic brand available from selected pharmacies and they have a four simple price points for their products, either being; $4, $6, $8 and $10. All nail polishes are $4 ...yes! And all lipsticks are $6! I can't believe how cheap it is and I actually really enjoyed using these products! All I can say about these products is that the nail polish brush is too short with a big stumpy lid which makes it kind of awkward to paint with and the lipsticks transfer way too easily. I kissed my boyfriend once and he had a full on pink lip going! Sorry Cam =).

Pineapple Express* - A yellow creme polish that leans slightly more to an orange toned yellow then pure yellow. I applied 2 coats.

Minted* - A light pastel mint seafoam blue. Applied in 2 coats.

Flamingo* - My favourite from the bunch, a lovely coral pink creme. So gorgeous and dries slightly lighter than in the bottle. 2 coats.

Summer Lovin' Pink* - A gorgeous berry pink creme. I applied 2 coats.

Then I did some random geometric nail art using all the colours together. I liked them all but wish I had done the Summer lovin' pink stripe thinner on the ring finger.

Fuschia Frenzy Lipstick* - This colour looks exactly the same as Summer lovin' pink but in a lipstick form and is a gorgeous bright pink creme that applies easily and leaves lips feeling creamy and soft.

Razzle Dazzle* - This lipstick is a slightly darker pink with a red tone to it. It is gorgeous. Same formula as the fuschia one.

Will you be picking up any Colour Theory products? Let me know what you get!! Have a great day.
