Shupette By Karl Lagerfeld and Shu Uemura

Hello everyone! How are you all? Happy Thanksgiving to all my U.S readers! I hope you have a wonderful day and eat lots!! Today I am showing you 2 Shu Uemura nail polishes that were released in collaboration with Karl Lagerfeld and his cat, Choupette, hence "Shu-pette". . I hope I wasn't the only one that just caught on with that clever name! He has a whole collection that includes make up, but today I am showing you swatches of the nail varnishes. They retail for $24.00 and are available from David Jones nationally. The brush and formula are really great quality and the bottle is super cute and unique! Let's take a look at the swatches!

Diamond Twinkle - A super gorgeous sheer silver polish with micro and large holographic silver glitters. I needed 3 coats for it to be opaque. It is very easy to work with and looked very elegant on the nails.

Pink Champagne Gold - A pearlescent light pink/champagne with gold glitters through it. This was really sheer and took 3 coats for decent coverage. This colour would be perfect for a natural french tip with a twist I think.

Sally Hansen Triple Shine Pt. 1 - The Sheens

Hey guys! Today I have a bit of a random swatch spam to show you. I'll be breaking these posts into 3 posts because there are so many Sally Hansen Triple Shine polishes I have swatched that i'll show you! Today I will be showing the sheens. There are 6 in total and they are quite sheer on their own so can either be built up alone, or shown over a black/dark base colour. I'll be showing them over a black base. I used 1 coat of Black Onyx by OPI followed by 1 coat of Sally Hansen Triple Shine polishes. I did notice that these sheens were a bit tricky to apply and left brush stroke lines on the nail but nonetheless the final result still looks cool. Here's a look!

Blow Bubbles - In the bottle this is a medium magenta-pink that when on the nails translates to a beautiful purple/pink.

Clam Up - In the bottle is a very light pearlescent pink with red sparkly undertones. The end result is very similar to Blow Bubbles but more of a muted look.

Drama Sheen - In the bottle is a very light pastel lilac with a dark purple shimmer - it translates onto the nail as a deep bright purple.

Flame On - Although this polish was opaque enough on its own, I still decided to try it over black because it did have a slight sheen texture to it. I'm glad I did it over black because it made it pop beautifully. It is a cherry red with red/purple shimmers in it. 

Make Waves - In the bottle this polish is more of a aqua colour with green undertones. On the nail it becomes a super vibrant emerald green colour with yellow undertones. So pretty!

Pool Party - This is a very sheer light baby blue with a medium blue shimmer undertone. On the nail it becomes a gorgeous sky blue - it is so pretty!

OPI - Funny Bunny

Hi guys! Today I have OPI - Funny Bunny* to show you. This colour is a sheer white jelly. Think Essie - Marshmallow really! It is quite opaque on 2 coats for a sheer white. I love this clean, fresh and simple look, it gives my hands a nice refreshing look and very chic too! I finished it off with 1 coat of Wicked Fast.

OPI - Glints Of Glinda

Hihihihi!! Today I have a colour I've been loving from the new OPI - Oz: The Great and Powerful collection! This one is called *Glints of Glinda and is a very sheer warm peachy-nude colour. I used 3 thin coats in the photos and you can still see VNL. I topped it off with 1 coat of Wicked Fast. Nonetheless, it made my nails look feminine, clean and well groomed. Also I have some exciting news! I have started studying to become a nail technician! YES! I can share my journey with you and hopefully have some great tips and tricks available to help you get the best out of nails/nail care/nail polish. Once I get internet up at my new place I will be right back into a regular blogging routine! Thanks for being so patient with me, it pays off as I have a giveaway coming soon! :)

OPI - Don't Touch My Tutu + Accent Jelly Sandwich

Hey guys! I couldn't wait to try some new colours from the NY Ballet collection, even though it was released a while ago now! I wanted to try a jelly sandwich, but got so distracted with the beauty of Don't Touch My Tutu that I wanted to wear it alone. It's the kind of gorgeous sheer white creme that makes your nails look ultra healthy and clean. I wore 3 thin coats on each nail. For my ring finger I used Color Club's - Backstage Pass as an accent followed by 1 thin coat of DTMT. All topped off with 1 coat of Cult Nails - Wicked Fast.
I love this look! It is so clean and feminine and a beautiful change of brightly opaque colours.
