H&M - Precious

Hi guys! Today I have a gorgeous new colour to show you by H&M called Precious; a stunning yellow gold foil polish. It's a bit deceiving as the bottle shows opalescent pink and blue to it but doesn't translate to the nail the same way. The colour is still beautiful regardless. H&M nail polishes retail for £3.99. Pictured is 2 coats with 1 coat of G&G fast drying topcoat. The formula was really smooth and easy to apply with a really nice, wide brush covering the whole nail in one swipe! I'm looking forward to trying some more colours from their collection. Have you tried any good colours? Let me know which colours you recommend!

Current Favourites - January 2015!

Hi guys! Hope your week is going well so far. Today I have my current favourites to share with you! I've been trialling these products for over a month now and I feel they definitely need a place in my favourites category! So let's take a look at what they are!

Revitanail Nail Strengthener, Keratin Strengthening System and Hand & Nail Cream (All on sale at Chemist Warehouse for $25.69, $16.69 and $19.69 respectively) - I've been using this trio as a system and have noticed my nails growing super fast. Not only does it help them grow, but helps to strengthen and build a healthy nail plate. The Keratin Strengthening System is a gel formula that you rub into your cuticles. I apply 1 coat of the nail strengthener, gel on all cuticles and the hand and nail cream to seal it all in. My hands and nails love me now.

Here are some results of my nails for 3 weeks using this system.
Week 1
Week 2
Week 3

Shu Uemura Art of Hair - Cleansing Oil Shampoo, Conditioner and Essential Drops (RRP $73.00, $58.00 and $47.00 respectively, available from here). These decadently indulgent haircare products by Shu Uemura cleanse and condition my hair so gently and effectively. They smell amazing, like soft flowers and cedar wood oil. I love the pump bottle because it means I won't over use the product! The essential drops are to be used on your scalp. When I have just finished cleansing my hair with the shampoo and it is all rinsed out, I part my hair in the middle and apply 4-5 drops onto my scalp and rub it in. It helps to balance out your scalp and keep it revitalised and nourished. Everytime I wash my hair with these products, I feel like I'm at a really expensive spa or hotel. It is the perfect indulgence.

L'ancome Vernis in Love 560 Or Vendôme (RRP $31, available from David Jones and Myer). This beautiful gold colour by L'ancome has made it's way into my favourites because it has a perfect formula and amazing quality. It also suits my skin tone perfectly. J'adore! Photo's show 1 coat of polish with no topcoat.

Nude by Nature - Natural Mineral Cover (RRP $39.95 and $14.95 for the brush, available online here). I've finally found a foundation that I feel confident wearing daily and that I seriously love. This mineral powder gives you a perfect, airbrush finish and medium/full coverage. I can never seem to find my right shade when it comes to foundations and powders but this one matches my skin really well. This doesn't break out my skin, or make me look oil, or cakey, or washed out. I can't rave enough about this product. It has an SPF of 15 but doesn't give a white cast off it. . yay! I love using it with the brush as it is soft and blends really well. It has become a holy grail product for me and I will continue to use it for the rest of my make-up wearing life! I definitely recommend it!

Orly - Sashay My Way (Flash Glam FX)

Hiya! Today's look features a new colour by Orly from their upcoming collection Flash Glam FX (released in stores December the 1st). For this look I was contemplating using a gold underneath and applying the gold glitter, but I went with a black base (2 coats of OPI - Black Onyx) and 1 coat of Sashay My Way. It is a gorgeous gold glitter with small hex and long bar glitters. Love it! I finished it off with 1 coat of wicked fast.

In the Shade, outside

Direct light, indoors
This is a stunning polish! The different shaped glitters are awesome! Do you own any colours from this collection yet? Thanks for reading!

OPI - 007 James Bond Swatches

Hi guys!! Today I have a few colours from the 007 James Bond collection to show you, and so far, I am very impressed and blown away!

First up, On Her Majesty's Secret Service; the most interesting mix of shimmers and micro glitters ever! It has a deep navy/purple base with a combination of red, silver, green, gold, blue micro shimmers. It is such an intense and interesting colour. It does best in 2 coats.

Secondly, The Living Daylights; a clear base jam packed full of silver, blue and apricot coloured hex glitters. Very densely packed. I used 1 coat here to show what it looks like, but this would look amazing in a jelly sandwich or over black.

2 coats of OPI - Black Onyx with 1 coat of The Living Daylights
Thirdly, and finally Golden Eye; an amazinggggggggggg gold fleck. Simple as that, but super dense and super amazingly bright when on your nails! This is 2 coats.

I hope you've liked these swatches and hopefully other colour swatches appear soon for your viewing!! Have a nice day and thanks for reading :)

The collection consists of 6 beautiful chrome polishes and i'm super duper excited! The colour I'm showing you today is Rare & Radiant, I used 1 coat of China Glaze - First & Last, 2 coats of CG - R&R and 1 coat of CG - First & Last.. But first let's look at the other colours!

Rare & Radiant, Unpredictable

No Plain Jane, Swanky Silk

Deviantly Daring, Want My Bawdy

The colour I have to show you today is called Rare & Radiant, a gold/green duochrome with gorgeous shimmer!

Some might call this a dupe for Chanel - Peridot and OPI - Just Spotted the Lizard, so I did a quick comparison of OPI and China Glaze to show you (2 coats for each nail)!

JSTL, R&R, JSTL, R&R
JSTL, R&R, JSTL, R&R
So, as you can see, R&R and JSTL are seriously DUPES! OPI is a little darker but hardly even noticeable, so, the end question is, which brand/brush,formula do you like better?!
Will you be buying any from this collection? Thanks for reading!

Artsy Wednesday - Ruffian Manicure

Hi darls! Today's Artsy Wednesday theme is a ruffian manicure! A ruffian is pretty much an inverted half moon manicure. It is a lovely little design but I did have a bit of difficulty deciding on how best to apply it. I tried painting my nail the base colour and then painting over that colour, but keeping the ruffian visible, but I just couldn't paint on a good enough oval shape, so I decided to paint the top colour first, use a reinforcement sticker and paint the little bit of nail visible with my second colour. I used 1 coat of Jordana Calcium Gel Basecoat, 1 coat of China Glaze - Peachy Keen, 1 coat of China Glaze - Midnight Kiss, followed by 1 coat of Cult Nails - Wicked Fast.

I really like this look, it's super feminine and cute!

Thanks for reading and don't forget to check out the other lovely ladies who have partaken in today's Artsy Wednesday theme!
