Tom Ford - Black Out (LE) Nail Varnish

Good morning everyone! I hope you are all doing well. We are midway through Winter (yay!). It has been very cold here in London these past couple of days! Today I want to share with you a gorgeous nail polish by Tom Ford called Black Out (Limited Edition); a black base with the finest silvery/grey shimmer to it. It is simply stunning. I used 2 coats, followed by a fast drying topcoat. Tom Ford polishes have surprised me. They are really fast drying, super shiny and have amazing longevity! Their only downfall is that lighter shades (particularly the nudes) don't self level, and need almost 3-4 coats for full opacity without streaks. Other than that, I'm in love! This Tom Ford nail polish retails for £30 from House of Fraser. Here are some swatches!

Casino Inspired Nail Art

Hey everyone! Today I have another quick post for you. I was doing nail art one night and didn't really know what I was going for when I did these but once I had finished it really reminded me of something from the casino or playing cards! I used striping tape on clear nails and painted the triangles with OPI - Black Onyx and ELES - Casanova Red. I finished it off with 1 coat of G&G. Do you like this manicure?

Yellow Paisley Stamped Nails

Enter my current $50AUD gift voucher giveaway here!

Hello everyone! I've been inspired to work on perfecting my stamping lately and found an old stamping plate I had with a paisley print on it. (I'm very sorry but I can't remember which plate or number it is at the moment, I will check when I get home) I painted my nails with 2 coats of Ciate - Big Yellow Taxi (reviewed here) and then applied 1 coat of Wicked Fast. Once it was touch dry I stamped on the paisley print using my black polish I received from born pretty store. Then I finished it off with 1 more coat of Wicked Fast, trying to avoid any smudging (but not all grrr). Even though I wasn't very consistent with the thickness of my stamps or because my nail plate was too large for the design, I still think I did a really good job and I've received so many compliments.

My goal one day is to be as good as Natalie from heartNAT..her stamping is flawless! Thanks for stopping by! Have a nice day.

Artsy Wednesday - Movember

Hi guys! Today's theme is Movember, which solely dedicates the month of November to men's cancer awareness where men can grow a moustache (no beard or side burns!). I usually become a Mo'Sista each year (no, I don't grow a moustache lol) and donate to people and people donate to me which is awesome :)

So.. I did struggle a bit with today's theme, clearly I wanted to do a moustache but surprisingly struggled and only managed to do two decent ones on my nails lol. I used 2 coats of Lime Crime - Pastelchio, followed by 1 coat of Essie - Matte About You, then I free handed the black moustaches with OPI - Black Onyx. Followed by another coat of Essie - Matte About You.

Don't forget to check out all these lovely ladies for this weeks Artsy Wednesday theme! Thanks for reading and have a great day/night! :-)

Orly - Sashay My Way (Flash Glam FX)

Hiya! Today's look features a new colour by Orly from their upcoming collection Flash Glam FX (released in stores December the 1st). For this look I was contemplating using a gold underneath and applying the gold glitter, but I went with a black base (2 coats of OPI - Black Onyx) and 1 coat of Sashay My Way. It is a gorgeous gold glitter with small hex and long bar glitters. Love it! I finished it off with 1 coat of wicked fast.

In the Shade, outside

Direct light, indoors
This is a stunning polish! The different shaped glitters are awesome! Do you own any colours from this collection yet? Thanks for reading!

NOTD: Ozotic 506

Hey guys!! I've bet you've all seen many swatches of 506 (or 505), if you haven't at all seen swatches, you are in for a treat! This beauty is a real gem. It is such an intrinsic multi chromatic polish! On the nails it looks like a dark blue with purple/magenta undertones, but it has more! Under certain lights and angles it also shines a gold and burnt orange colour. It is so pretty! I applied 1 coat of China Glaze - First & Last, 1 coat of OPI - Black Onyx, 1 coat of Ozotic - 506 and 1 coat of Cult Nails - Wicked Fast. I'll let the photos do the talking!

This is a magical polish and I can't believe it took me so long to try it out!! Thanks for reading and I hope you like! :)

Artsy Wednesday - Dotting Tools Only

It's Artsy Wednesday again and I am super excited for today's theme! Dotting tools ONLY! (excluding painting on a base colour) This manicure was inspired by Katy @ Nailed It! Check out this tutorial here. The colours I used are:

OPI - Black Onyx (base colour)
OPI - Fiercely Fiona (off pastel yellow)
OPI - What's With The Cattitude (pastel blue)

I alternated the colours on each nail. If you check out the above link for the tutorial I used you'll see how easy it is to do! I'm going to wear this mani for a good solid couple of days! Or until I get a more exciting idea in my head lol.

Ikat Nail Art

Hi all! Today I saw a great video by the lovely MissJenFabulous on IKAT Nails, which is originally a dying technique used to pattern textiles. To see the full tutorial on how-to do IKAT nails, check out Jen's websit linked above!

The colour I used as a base was Orly's - Beach Cruiser, followed by a standard White Striping Pen, followed by Revlon - Metallic, followed by a standard Black Striping Pen. All topped off with 1 coat of Cult Nails - Wicked Fast. It wasn't too bad for a first go, I managed to get better on my second hand. I need to work on my black feathered stripes to accentuate the IKAT print more.

What do you think of the colours used? I hope you like this cool and easy nail art!

OPI - Black Onyx + Sinful Colours - Green Ocean

Afternoon! Just a quick post today! I used 2 coats of OPI - Black Onyx, followed by 1 coat of Sinful Colours - Green Ocean (which I bought on ebay for about $4), followed by 1 coat of Cult Nails - Wicked Fast. Sinful Colours is pretty thick and goopy, but most flakie top coats are like that so thankfully a good top coat smooths it all out.

This is a classic combination when you're feeling like something edgy without the hard work!

Have a great day everyone! I have the next 4 days off and i'm super excited to hang with my boyf as it is our 4 year anniversary on Thursday.. yay! L<3ve!

Jordana Collection Review

Hey guys! Today I have for you some nail polishes from the brand Jordana. They originate from the US, but they have thankfully been brought to Australia and are available for purchase on their website (jordanacosmetics.com.au). I was given the opportunity to pick some colours and I chose some real stunners! Just so I don't repeat myself I will let you know that I used 1 coat of Calcium Boost Basecoat, followed by 2 coats of lacquer. The formula on Jordana polishes are really good! I was surprised how easily and smooth they went on, a bit sheer on 1 coat, but 2 coats easily fixed that up. The brush is a little thin, but picks up the polish easily and makes application smooth. Here are the colours I chose:

Green Glitz is a stunning grass green shimmer with a mixture of holographic bars and small glitters. I really like this colour and it suits olive skin tone really nicely!

Coral Spark is an amazinggg orangey-red coral with some seriously gorgeous shimmer in it. This, like Green Glitz, also has a mixture of holographic bar and glitters scattered through out. This is my favourite from the collection!

Purple Glam is really pretty. I am told that this is one of Jordana's biggest selling colours and I can see why! The base is a gorgeous deep magenta filled with purple shimmer, and this one also has a dense mixture of holographic bar and glitters...yes! Winner!

Blurred to show the amazing holographic micro glitter!
Crystal Glitter, shown here with OPI's - Black Onyx as the base, is a pixie dust looking polish, a sheer white base with a whole lot of holographic glitters! It is pretty much like a flakie! This is super gorgeous and definitely made my black nails pop! I love that the light catches all the different colours and you see an array of rainbow colours on your nails! Pure magic!
I also received some nail art stripers which I will be using very soon, so stay tuned!

What do you think of these colours? Which one is your favourite?
