Artsy Wednesday - Halloween!

Hi guys! Happy Halloween! It isn't really celebrated here in Australia but it is a great excuse to have a party and eat candy so what the hey! Today's theme, as you guessed it, is halloween ooooOoooOoooh! (scary ghost voice). I decided to do SPOOKY EYEBALLS! This is super easy to do. P.s sorry i've been quiet lately, i'm cramming for my end of semester exams! Anyway, here is the look :-)

Colours used (in order):
2 coats of OPI - My Boyfriend Scales Walls*
I used a red striper for the eye veins
1 dot of KIKO - 295
1 dot of OPI - Black Onyx
1 dot of OPI - My Boyfriend Scales Walls*

This was so easy to do and I actually liked how it looked on my nails! Freaky, but cool :-)

KIKO - Grass Green + CND Effects - Emerald Shimmer

This beautiful grass green creme is lovely to apply. This colour has travelled far with me! I originally bought it in Italy and it went with me all the way north to Switzerland, France and London! Oh and now Australia ;-) It is one of my favourites and go-to colours when i'm not feeling much inspiration. I applied two coats with 1 coat of Orly Glosser over the top.

I also want to show you how different greens and blues can look when taking photos with it. I think it's really important to show a true colour so when capturing a green or blue, it can sometimes be difficult.

I woke up this morning with the dreaded bed sheet indents on my nails...Noooo! Easily fixed, I decided to apply an effect colour over the top. I have almost ALL of the CND Effect colours so I decided to use emerald shimmer to make it a tad prettier! I'm really really happy with the results, check these out

Brush Types - A General Overview

Hello there! Today I will be showing you a post on the different types of nail polish brushes I own. Now, I am aware that I don't have ALL the popular brands (my first China Glaze polishes are on their way!) BUT, I do have a typical sample collection to show you! Enjoy :)

The real stand outs for me personally are brushes that are thick, E.g BK, KIKO, OPI and Estee Lauder. These brushes are the easiest for me to work with as I naturally have long nails and find it great at applying colour evenly.

The hardest brushes for me to use are Revlon and Bloom. They leave my nails looking streaky and can't cover the nail quickly enough before the polish begins to dry.

All in all, I generally don't have too much trouble with application. It really depends on how i'm feeling that day and if i have a steady hand.

What's your opinion? Anyone else having similar issues and success??
