This combo looked really gorgeous! The french tips were really spontaneous, but added a nice glint to my nails in the sun :) Thanks for reading!

Barielle - Ocean Breeze + Color Club - Holiday Splendour
Hi everyone! Today's look features Barielle - Ocean Breeze, an amazing off teal/aqua/blue pastel creme. It has an excellent formula, only needed 2 coats for smooth application. Color Club - Holiday Splendour is a sheer green jelly with emerald and silver holographic glitters, it is really beautiful! I used 1 coat on my ring fingers and just painted the tips on all of my other nails. I finished it all off with 1 coat of cult nails wicked fast.

Color Club - Sky High & Metamorphosis
Hello everyone! It is Friday. . .yay! I've really been loving hanging out on a Friday night, watching movies and chilling in my room! Tonight i'm gonna watch Harry Potter 4 (if you don't know me, i LOVE HP..A lot!) I know that sounds like a sad Friday night for a 20 year old lol :-P I have plenty of time to party!
Today I felt like wearing something shiny and sparkly, so I thought i'd give my two Color Club - Take Wing untried colours a go! I used Metamorphosis, a gorgeous emerald green glass fleck (perhaps a very close dupe of Milani - Key West).. seriously impressive, and Sky High, a beautiful water-like blue glass fleck. . . If you haven't got any of the Take Wing colours. . . you NEED SOME! In the bottle, they show a slight duochrome effect. This doesn't entirely translate onto the nail, unless you catch it at the right angle. Nonetheless, they are gorgeous!
I applied 3 coats on each nail followed by 1 coat of Cult Nails - Wicked Fast, and decided to mix it up and mismatch colours on my nails! Here are some pics :)
I hope you like these! Do you own any from the collection? They are a winner for me! Thanks for reading and have a lovely weekend!

Color Club - Daisy Does It
Hey everybody! I am feeling very happy on this Friday morning as I had my exam yesterday and it went well, but I still have 2 more so I can't celebrate yet! Today i'll be showing you a gorgeous colour from Color Club's Take Wing Collection! Daisy Does It is an amazing glass fleck daisy yellow which is well and truly incredible! I do not have anything even remotely close to this colour in my collection and i'm so happy with it! I used 3 thin coats and 1 coat of Orly glosser and it dried really quickly! I love this colour, because I just love yellow in general, and it also makes my skin look quite brown! YAY! haha. I bought two other colours from this collection so you will see those very soon! Here are some pics!
Look at this delicious golden yellow! I am in love! My favourite yellow by far! Do you own any of the Take Wing colours? If they are anything like this one, i'll have to buy the ones i'm missing! Have a nice day! Thanks for reading :-)

Pink Glitter Nails + My Ombre Hair!
Hello everyone how are you on this Friday afternoon? I am very good and have a gorgeous new glitter polish by Sally Hansen to show you. This colour, called Be-Jeweled is from the new Gem Crush collection. Be-Jeweled is a dense pale purple glitter in a clear base with a peachy-pink glitter scattered. I bought this beauty at Priceline on special for $8 and also for Australian girlies, Priceline sells OPI Shatters now, for only $10! I was excited when I saw they stocked OPI, but disappointed they only sell shatter, a bit over them now! Anyway, back onto today's swatch. I applied 1 coat of Color Club - Foil Me Once and then applied 3 coats of Be-Jeweled. My nails are pretty thick at the moment, but I also applied 1 thick coat of SV to smooth it all down! In today's post i've also attached a picture of my DIY-ombre/balayage hair. It is practically the same concept as gradient nails but with hair (from the root (dark) to the ends (light). I thought you'd like to see it :) Here we go!
Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed this blog post :)

Color Club - Twiggie + OPI - Save Me
Hi everyone! Today I have a spontaneous mani for you! I chose an untried today. Color club's Twiggie, a beautiful apple green which is quite bright and really opaque! It is a really nice colour against my olive skin tone. I applied 3 coats of Twiggie as it was a little bit streaky. Then I was going to just do an accent nail but loved the contrast a lot with Save Me over the top of the green that I applied it to all nails. Save me is from the Nicki Minaj collection and is a mixture of small circle glitters and bar glitters. I applied 1 coat of SV to smooth it all out! :)
Do you like this combination? What colours do you like to mix with a green like this?
Thanks for reading :D

Revlon - Glitz & Glam + Color Club - Foil Me Once
Today I wanted to use my new Revlon Glitz & Glam, a dark pink with lighter and darker glitter in it but I decided it would need a base colour as it is quite a sheer glitter so I used Color Club's Foil Me Once, a beautiful lavender-pink foil which is soo pretty I almost didn't want to apply the Revlon over the top but I stuck to my plan. I used 1 coat of Foil Me Once and 2 coats of Glitz & Glam followed by 1 coat of SV. Check the photos below:
Mmmm so pretty I love this :-) I needed something sparkly and glittery.

OPI's Rumple's Wiggin' + Color Club's Backstage Pass
Today I have a combo of OPI's Rumple's Wiggin' with Color Club's Backstage Pass. Rumple's Wiggin' is from the Shrek link that OPI brought out a while ago but nevertheless it is a beautiful pastel lavender colour and great formula. Color Club's Backstage Pass is a clear base with large hexagonal pieces of silver, grey, lavender and pink. It was hard to apply but the trick with large glitter pieces is to just dab them onto the nail instead of paint it on, as you will find all the hexagons will move toward the end of the nail with an unnecessary amount of clump. I think this combination is really cute, it even got complimented on by a guy today lol! :-)
Here are some photos!
oOo I love wearing this combination! It makes my nails feel like they are prettier than me sometimes haha!

Brush Types - A General Overview
Hello there! Today I will be showing you a post on the different types of nail polish brushes I own. Now, I am aware that I don't have ALL the popular brands (my first China Glaze polishes are on their way!) BUT, I do have a typical sample collection to show you! Enjoy :)
The real stand outs for me personally are brushes that are thick, E.g BK, KIKO, OPI and Estee Lauder. These brushes are the easiest for me to work with as I naturally have long nails and find it great at applying colour evenly.
The hardest brushes for me to use are Revlon and Bloom. They leave my nails looking streaky and can't cover the nail quickly enough before the polish begins to dry.
All in all, I generally don't have too much trouble with application. It really depends on how i'm feeling that day and if i have a steady hand.
What's your opinion? Anyone else having similar issues and success??
Thanks for reading!

Color Club - Covered In Diamonds
Today I received a box of special effect nail polishes that I am super excited to try and my first choice was Color Club's Covered in Diamonds! This shade is clear with iridescent rainbow flakies and works perfectly over dark colours in particular! I have paired this with Bk black nail polish. Only 1 coat of Covered In Diamonds was needed and then I applied RapiDry Top Coat by OPI. I found the flakies very hard to work with as they kept moving around the nail, but that didn't bother me too much because the final result is just unbelievable! Believe it yourself and take a look!
These photos don't even do justice to the amazing colour that is created when these two colours are combined! This is a definite must have for every nail polish lover out there!
Feel free to post a comment and leave your opinion on this colour!

Color Club - The Lime Starts Here
I have to admit, when it comes to nail polish brands (besides OPI) i'm very skeptical! For a while I would only stick to OPI nail polishes so I decided that it was time to broaden my horizons and first up is Color Club! This bright neon lime green is a beautiful colour. I did experience some difficulties on application as it was streaky but when it dried that soon went away. It has the most amazing smell for a nail polish! a subtle lime smell which is very sweet and a real surprise as I wasn't expecting it! I found the brush very thin which was hard to apply the polish evenly. I applied 5 coats but if a white nail polish was used underneath less coats would have been needed.
This photo is in direct sunlight and really emphasizes on how bright this green really is!

This photo has a matte top coat. I used Essie's Matte about you.

All in all, this nail polish is a great colour and an addition to my collection and i cannot wait to try this with a black shatter over the top!
Thanks for reading and feel free to comment on your opinion on this colour!
Love Mel :-)
