Luma Cosmetics

Hi everyone! So sorry it has been so long. It was my birthday last week and I had lots of exciting events for my nail bar. I organised a pop-up nail bar on Saturday, and have many more pop-up events to come! Today I am showing you a few products from Luma Cosmetics, a new Australian beauty brand developed by the gorgeous Jess Hart. Today I will be showing you the Tinted Moisturiser, Mascara, and 2 Sheer Lip Colours. Let's have a look at how they worked for me!

Daring Curves Mascara in the shade Jet Black (RRP $24.95, available here). This mascara is long lasting and delivers thick, dark lashes. The brush is really nice and gives a precise application. I really enjoyed using this mascara as my "everyday" mascara. It didn't give me super bold, visible lashes, but they were still girly, thick and natural looking.

Sheer Lipsticks in the shade Sheer Red and Soft Peach (RRP $19.95, available here). I love these sheer lipsticks. It not only has beautiful packaging in the sleek metal case but the colours are so creamy and soft on your lips, giving you a subtle hint of colour. The sheer red shows up a bit more of a watermelon pink on me but I absolutely love it. These are great lip products for summer.

Soft Peach has a very subtle colour on my lips but makes my natural lip colour look better and glossy.

Tinted Moisturiser SPF 15 in the shade 02 medium (RRP $24.95, available here). This moisturiser + sunscreen is super light weight and gives natural looking coverage and a gorgeous semi-matte finish. I wore this moisturiser over the top of my rosehip oil moisturiser all day on Saturday (30 degrees and higher) and it did not budge! It looked flawless in person and on camera. The only downfall for me, is because it contains an SPF, it gives you a slight white cast in photos. Love this product so much now!

Wearing the tinted moisturiser, mascara and sheer red lipstick.
So have/will you try any of these beauty products out? The packaging is gorgeous and the products are really great if you want a natural look! Not to mention the price is very reasonable for the quality. Let me know if you try anything out! Thanks for reading and see you next time!

Current Favourites!

Hi guys! Today I have a post all about my current favourites, from nail polish to skincare, to hair care and make up! It's a mixture of things I've been using for over a month now and absolutely love them all! So here they are!

De Lorenzo Essential Treatments (et) - Absolute Deep Cleanser Shampoo, Protein Complex Treatment and Equilibrium Deep Repair Treatment (RRP $25.95, $28.95 and $28.95 respectively). I've been using these three products in conjunction with one another and it has definitely restored my hair to a healthy, shiny, bouncy mane! They contain organic rosehip oil (which I love!) and are all paraben free. The deep cleanser makes my hair feel so clean and fresh, the protein complex has definitely made my hair feel stronger and the deep repair treatment has made my hair feel softer than ever! Find these products at your nearist stockist or salon (which can be found here).

Vaseline Intensive Care Spray Moisturiser in Aloe Soothe (RRP$9.99 from Priceline) - I had to try this product. The one thing in life I cannot stand is when I apply moisturiser on my body and apply my clothes and it all just sticks and I feel so uncomfortable! Luckily this product does just as that advert shows - You can spray this on your body, rub it in, and literally 10 seconds later you have no residue left over and no grease either! I'm in love.

Dr.Hauschka Neem Nail Oil (RRP$47) - A big pump bottle of nail oil with Neem leaf extract to help strengthen keratin and fortifies nails against breakage. I've been using this religiously, before a manicure, right after a manicure, between swatches and on days I want more! It is such a great product and I can't stop using it! It has a lovely smell of chamomile and I have noticed my nails getting stronger for months since using this! Available for purchase online here.

I've raved about Benefit's Fake Up concealer before and it's back in my current favourite because I continue to use it every day and always have flawless results with it! Along with Fake Up, I've been adoring Erase Paste by Benefit too to tackle my under eye circles and any dark areas that need to be brightened up! Both super hydrating, natural looking and do not crease on me! (RRP$35 and $47, respectively). Benefit Cosmetics can be found in Myer.

My trusty and most favourite mascara in the whole world that gives me natural-but-better-and-free-from-clumps lashes! I cannot get enough of this Lush Mascara and ELES is quickly becoming one of my all time favourite beauty brands! (RRP $35.75). It is available to purchase online here. I also previously reviewed it on my blog here.

This nifty little MixStix by Chapstick is a really clever 2-in-1 product giving you two flavours to choose from, or to mix them up and make a smoothie! I love the flavour shown in particular, 1 side banana and 1 side strawberry. They taste so good together that I sometimes find myself licking my lips and having to reapply way too frequently! It moisturises for upto 8 hours! These retail for RRP $6.99 for a duo set (It came with another one with the flavour lemon berry sorbet) and can be found at Priceline and selected pharmacies nationally.

Formula 10.0.6 Rescue Me! Acne Blemish Treatment (RRP $7.99, available at Priceline). This product has been my saviour for so long now (including my trip to Europe) and I am so glad it has come into my life. It stops any pimple from becoming a big nasty puss filled spot (ew) and has actually helped reduce the appearance of my old blemishes! I can't live without this product and will continue to use it for as long as I keep getting pimples!

So there are my current favourites! I hope you liked this post and comment below which product you've tried or like to try next! Thanks for reading.

Lanolips - Triple Buttermilk Body Balm

Enter my international giveaway to win 1 of 4 nail polish bundle packs!

Hello everyone! Today I have another Lanolips product to show you. The Triple Buttermilk Body Balm* is a very rich and nurturing body balm for very dry skin, with a rich nourishing finish. It contains a triple concentration of lanolips signature ultra pure grade lanolin, milk extracts and vitamin E. It leaves a silky protective veil on the skin for ongoing and lasting skin hydration. It is animal cruelty free and contains NO parabens, mineral oils or petrolatum! It has a very strong talcum powder smell which is bad if you don't like that smell but I don't mind it plus the smell diminishes as the balm is absorbed into your skin. It absorbs really quickly by the way which I love about Lanolips. The fact they've managed to combine thick, super hydration balms with fast absorption is great. I hate nothing more than clothes sticking to my skin after moisturiser has been applied but no problems with his product! This product retails for $23.95 for 170ml (available at Myer, David Jones and selected pharmacies).

Straight after product was rubbed into the skin. No oiliness or shininess and looks as if nothing has been applied but skin feels so smooth!

Please let me know if any of you have tried Lanolips as I find it simply divine and is definitely becoming one of my all time favourite brands! Thanks for reading and see you again soon!

Sanctuary Spa - Brightening Facial In A Box

Hello helloooo! Today i've got a review of the Sanctuary Spa Brightening Facial In A Box* ($39.00). It is a 30 minute step by step pampering treatment to enhance your skin for a radiant glow. It includes 5 sample size products; Moisture Boosting Mask, Polishing Hot Cloth Cleanser, Radiance Exfoliator, Illuminating Moisture Lotion and a Brightening Eye Gel (not to mention a hot cloth to be used with the cleanser and a coupon to save a few dollars off your next Sanctuary Spa purchase). Here's a quick overview of each product and what I thought of them.

Polishing Hot Cloth Cleanser: This is a very creamy, soft product that deep cleans the skin when used in conjuction with the hot muslim cloth provided. You wet the cloth with warm water and cover your face for a few seconds with it to open your pores, then apply some cleanser, rubbing in circular motions and take the product off by using the cloth wrung out in cold water (to close the pores). I have used similar products to this before and although I know some people really love cleansers I just don't feel like they actually clean my face properly. I need something a bit more evasive and rough so I can actually feel it working. It has a nice, herbal scent. Would I purchase this product? No.

Radiance Exfoliator: This is a  really cool exfoliator with pieces of broken down apricot seed in it. This is such a lovely exfoliator and smells of mandarins and lemon. It feels so good when you apply it on your skin and I have used it everyday for over a week now and have noticed how much clearer and brighter my skin looks. This is something I can see myself using for a very long time. Would I purchase product? Yes indeed!

Moisture Boosting Mask: This mask I was apprehensive about because when I first opened the sachet and felt the texture, it felt like a seriously thick moisturiser, not a regular mask. But, when I actually put it on my face and let it sit for a good 10 minutes I was pleasantly surprised to see that not only had it completely absorbed into my skin, but, as the name suggests, it left my skin super moisturised and I usually get pretty dry around my nose area. When you wash it off with warm water it reappears making your face look creamily moisturised but it is very easy to wash it all off. Would I purchase this product? Probably not because I prefer deep extracting masks.

Illuminating Moisture Lotion (SPF 15):  This moisturiser was awesome. It smelt fresh, it wasn't heavy, it was light with probably a bit more oil in it then cream (which I prefer) and it absorbed very quickly. One little characteristic to this product is that it actually has illuminating shimmers in it. Very subtle shimmers mind you but I really liked that a lot. I also love that it has SPF in it. I know this is seriously bad but I rarely wear skincare with SPF in it (hello Rose hip oil as my moisturiser). Would I purchase this product? Definitely.

Brightening Eye Gel: To begin with, I was hesitant when I saw this product because my mother has always told me never to use things like this, just use face moisturiser and that's it. But I gave it a go and even after trying it it didn't really grab my attention. It made my eye area slightly tight and was cooling and soothing but nothing about it really screamed out at me that I should use it (plus i'm still young and don't have wrinkles). So, would I purchase this product for myself? Nope!

So there you have it! Overall this box was awesome and it was such a great way to try a variety of products and now I have a new exfoliator and moisturiser to add to my face care routine! Let me know if there are any particular Sanctuary products you are loving right now? I've also tried the warming microexfoliant (it literally warms once activated) and I love that product so much! Thanks for reading and have a great day!
