Triangle Tesselation Geometry Nails

Hi guys! I hope you are all well. Today I wanted to share with you some super cool geometric nails I did a few weeks back. I used 2 coats of China Glaze - White on White as my base then used all Kester Black colours for the rest, sealing it off with 1 coat of Glisten & Glow HK Topcoat. I hope you like these as much as I loved doing them!

Spring Floral Mani (+ Tutorial)

Hi guys! I hope you are doing well. Today I want to share with you some really pretty nail art inspired by a tissue box I bought recently. I love when you can find inspiration even in the daftest home items! I decided to do a mini pictorial in case you'd like to recreate this design. I used 2 coats of Kester Black - Acid for the base colour, China Glaze - White on White for the rose base and Liquid Leather for the black fern design. I then used Kester Black - Forget Me Not and Prenup for the rose outlines. I hope you like this design and find some inspiration from it! Have a great week ahead.

Hi guys! I hope you are having a great weekend. Today I want to share with you some nail art I did last weekend inspired by an Australian illustrator who collaborated with Gorman clothing. I initially saw this print on the pencil skirt. You should definitely check the collection out - it's amazing! I used all Kester Black colours and free handed it all. I hope you like them as much as I loved doing them!

Wavy Nail Art

It's been a few weeks since my last blog post and I'm sorry! I've moved back to the Gold Coast from Brisbane for my last few weeks in Australia.. Yep, I'm jetting off to live in London! I'm excited, yet nervous and hope I settle in nicely at a cool nail bar somewhere! I have a quick post to share with you - some cool wavy nail art I did a few months ago. All colours used are Kester Black with my Glisten & Glow topcoat. I got so many compliments on this manicure! I need to recreate this in different colours soon!

Kester Black - Autumn Collection

Hi guys! Hope you are well. Today I will be showing you the new Autumn collection by Kester Black which consists of 4 creme colours. As always the formula is perfect, needing 2 coats for full opacity and smoothness, and the brush is the perfect width to paint your nails effortlessly. Kester Black nail polishes retail for $20.00AUD and are available online here. Here's a look at the colours!

Perennial - the perfect salmon pink/coral. My photos make this look too orange for some reason but this is definitely a new favourite of mine and I'm so glad to see brights are still making an appearance in cooler month collections!

Petra - This is a beautiful, soft, peach skin tone creme. I found it didn't suit my skin tone that well, but this colour would look beautiful on lighter skin tones!

Quartz - This is my least favourite colour from the collection, a mauve-purple-brown creme.

Rust - This is a fantastic colour for Autumn and Winter. It is a deep red/brown creme. It is so edgy and I can't wait to wear this as a nail and lip combo!

So which colours are you most drawn to? Thanks a lot for reading!

Trippy Blurred Lines Nail Art

Hey everyone! I hope you had a great weekend. Today I wanted to show you some nail art I did last week using 3 colours (all Kester Black colours). This look was extremely easy to do but looked really cool in the end! All I used was a thin striper brush over a clear nail and did very messy lines of dark blue, then light blue and then the pink. The colours blended into each other slightly and added some extra dimension. I finished it off with 1 coat of SV.

Kester Black - Water Based Nail Polish Remover

Hi guys! Hope you had a great week! Today I will be reviewing the brand new Kester Black - Water Based Nail Polish Remover (RRP $20.00 for 125ml, available online here). It is a white peach scented Water Based Nail Polish Remover containing aloe vera and vitamin e, to soften the skin and strengthen the nails while removing colour. It is both acetone and acetate free, and is also non-flammable and has a lengthened evaporation period. I must say. I'm in love. It has a really subtle smell and leaves my nails moisturised, soft and healthy looking. I was a bit taken a back by this product because I was so used to using straight acetone with glycerin mixed in to remove my nail polish and this combination gives me almost instant removal. With this remover, it does take a noticeable longer time to remove - but this is expected with the product containing no acetone or acetate.

I really have nothing negative to say about this product - I think I am just impatient after using acetone for so long. This polish remover would be PERFECT when swatching and removing colours that stain nails. For me personally, I will not be using this remover on my clients as it takes too long and I need to minimize time where I can for my service. Kester Black is only strengthening my love for the brand! Here are a few pictures!

Mmm oily cuticles..

Australia Day Nails!

Hey everyone! Today I have a quick post to show you. Yesterday was Australia day and my partner and I usually celebrate by swimming in the pool, having a BBQ with lots of lamb and listening to Triple J's Hottest 100 (from 11am until 7pm). It's a long but fun day! I wanted to show you the nails I had for the occasion yesterday. I used the same technique Sarah over at chalkboardnails.com used for the Side swept look. I used 1 coat of OPI - Alpine Snow, China Glaze - In The Lime Light and Kester Black - Bondi Rays. I finished it with 2 dots of Kester Black - Starflower on each nail, followed by 1 coat of G&G topcoat. Let me know what you think! Thanks for reading.

Kester Black X O&M Collection

Hi guys! how are you going? I hope you had a fantastic weekend! Today I have the entire Kester Black X O&M Collection to show you. If you don't know, or haven't heard of O&M before, they are a haircare brand that focuses on creating products that have no harsh chemicals in them but still deliver gentle yet effective results. Kester Black (one of my favourite nail polish brands of all time) has partnered up with O&M to release 12 gorgeous earthy and mineral toned colours. These two brands strive to prove that you do not need to use harsh chemicals to create professional quality beauty and cosmetics products. Let's jump right now! All images show 2 coats of polish with no topcoat. Formula and consistency was perfect on all polishes, except K Gravel was a bit watery/sheer with a bit of a mangled brush - but i'm assuming it's just my polish that was unlucky during the batch. All Kester Black colours retail for $20AUD and are available online here.

Atonic - A browny orange terracotta creme

Bondi Rays - An egg yolk yellow creme

Bondi Sand - A yellow toned white creme

Conquer Blonde - A silvery blue/grey creme

Fine Intellect - A caramel brown creme

Frizzy Logic - A liquid-y sun-kissed gold - My personal favourite!

Hydrate & Conquer - A beautiful burgundy wine creme

K Gravel - A deep black-emerald creme. This one reminds me of OPI - Here Today. . Aragon Tomorrow. The formula was a bit tricky on this one.

Know Knott - A beautiful buttery beige creme.

O&M Conditioner - A lighter caramel brown creme

Original Detox - A dark teal creme

Queenie - A mid toned rose pink creme

All of these colours speak earthy, natural, mineral tones and are inspired by O&M's colour scheme of haircare products too. My favourites are Frizzy Logic, O&M Conditioner  and  Know Knott. Let me know which ones you like the best! Thanks so much for reading and have a great day.

Kester Black - New Summer Colours + Trophy Wife Collab!

One of my favourite nail polish brands, Kester Black has released 4 new shades to her Summer Collection and 2 new collaboration shades with Trophy Wife Nail Art. Today I will be reviewing all 6 shades. I cannot get over how amazing the photos to show case them are! For me, the image below evokes so much imagination and inspiration and I love the style a lot. If you wanna see more photos of the new summer collection check it out here. Each photo shows 2 coats of each polish (unless stated) with no top coat. I also have to mention that the brushes are really good and thick, making it so much easier to give you that perfect arch around the cuticle. Check it out below!

Acid Nail Polish

Summer Collection Shades:

Acid - a gorgeous acid yellow/slightly chatreuse creme that only need 2 coats for full opacity. Such a cool, bright colour in person! Love this one!

Blush - A very soft pale pink/peach creme. Perfect formula.

Sky - A very light blue sky creme. This is such a dreamy shade and perfect for spring.

Violet - A bright pink toned mid purple creme. Arghh purples are so hard to photograph but this colour is more a lighter lavender/pink colour IRL. It remind me of Sation's - Love At First Lavender but just a tad darker.

Trophy Wife Collabaration Shades:

Sugar Daddy - A super dense, highly pigmented silver glitter polish. The first photo shows 1 coat and the second photo shows 2 coats. I could have easily gotten away with 1 coat! So pretty and sparkly in person.

Prenup - A pale purple/periwinkle creme. This colour was also very difficult to capture accurately. It's less blue and slightly more purple. It's so pretty.

These polishes are beyond amazing and I'm so excited to do some nail art with them - using inspiration from those amazing photographs I linked above! Which Kester Black polish is your favourite? I love Acid the most from these new colours as it's so different to anything I own! Thanks for reading and talk soon!
