Essie - Mirror Metallics

Hi guys! Hope you are all well! Today I have some colours from the Essie - Mirror Metallics collection to show you, even though it has been out for quite some time, it's still a classic collection I wanted to try! There are 5 colours in this collection but today i'll be showing you 4 of them; Penny Talk (a bronze penny chrome shade), Blue Rhapsody (a mid silvery-blue chrome), Nothing Else Metals (a silvery lilac) and No Place Like Chrome (a silver chrome). As usual with chrome polishes, these dry very quick so you need to have a quick, light hand when applying otherwise you will drag the polish and it will be uneven. They are amazing colours and Penny Talk is so worth the hype! I applied 2 coats of each followed by 1 coat of G&G topcoat. Please excuse the different nail lengths in the photos, I had a break when I swatched the second half of these polishes. Essie can be found at Myer and Priceline (who have a really great sale on at the moment, selling these mirror metallic polishes for only $4.47!! - i'd suggest jumping online here now!)

Blue Rhapsody
No Place Like Chrome
Nothing Else Matters
Penny Talk
Which colour is your favourite? Hope you enjoyed this post! xx

Nicole by OPI - Candid Cameron

Hi all! Today I'm in love. I don't think i've fallen hard for a polish since Butter London - Fiver hit my nails (see my love for it here)! Today I am showing you a colour by NOPI called Candid Cameron* from the Modern Family collection. Now I don't just love this colour because it has my partners name in it (but makes me love it a little bit more), I absolutely adore this colour!! It might not be new to some of you (think the China Glaze - Bohemian Luster Chrome collection) but I only tried 1 colour from that collection which I wasn't fond of, so when I tried this one out I was a bit hesitant but fell in love very soon after. Candid Cameron* is a blue-green chrome that looks like a foil has been put onto my nails. I used 2 coats followed by wicked fast. Ughh words can't describe how much I love this colour and if you haven't tried this colour I suggest you do! :) (P.s the brush stroke lines disappear when it dries..yay!)

Thanks for stopping by! See you next time :)

Layla Mirror Effects - Metallic Chrome

Hi darls! Today I will be showing you another Layla Mirror Effect I received when Kathy from more nail polish made a big order with them! This is just a standard silver chrome colour, but these mirror effects by Layla are not ordinary, they are AMAZING! The brush strokes disappear when it dries, it leaves it literally looking almost mirror like! This polish can be tricky to master, you need to apply it really quickly otherwise if you go over a spot too often the polish will pull off and go patchy and bald! In these photos I did 2 coats, no top coat (but p.s the topcoat does NOT dull the effect, only at first but then the colour shines through once it dries :))

You may have seen in my other post of Layla Mirror Effects (see it here) that it looked horrible because of my ridges, well this post is a HUGE improvement! My ridges have finally gone, thanks to Sally Hansen miracle nail thickener and it looks so smooth and perfect! I'll show you :)

I really really really really WISH they had a gold version of this too! Does anyone know why/have a theory as to why it hasn't been made yet? It would be SO popular!

Thanks for reading and I really hope you like this :)

Layla Mirror Effect - Titanium Sky

Hi all! I am super excited to show you this amazing polish! The Lovely Cathy from More Nail Polish organised a big group of girls who were interested in purchasing Layla's from Italy and I decided to get two of the Mirror Effect polishes; Titanium Sky and Metal Chrome. The bottle instructions says you should buff your nails with the Layla buffer but I didn't have one, and it was too late before I thought about using my own, so these photos show 1 coat of Orly's - Bonder, 2 coats of Titanium Sky and 1 coat of Cult Nails - Wicked Fast. This kind of polish definitely shows every impurity, ridge and bumps on the nail so I definitely should of buffed, but now I know for next time! When I applied this polish, it didn't look exciting and was quite streaky, but within the next 30 seconds is when the magic happens. The brush strokes disappear and smooths out! So cool! The same thing happens when you apply a top coat, it dulls the colour, but after 30 seconds it goes back to a smooth finish. When I swatch the Metal Chrome I will definitely buff my nails and see how big of a difference it makes! I hope you like this!

So what do you think!? I loveeeeeee! Can't wait to wear it out and see how long it lasts without chipping! Thanks for reading!
