Bobbi Brown - New Products 2014

Hi everyone! How are you? I hope you are having a fantastic week so far! Today I have some cosmetics by Bobbi Brown to show you. I have 3 of the new long wear gel sparkle gel liners, as well as 2 brow products, a limited edition Creamy Matte Lip Colour from the upcoming Smokey Nudes collection and 1 nail polish. Let's jump right in! Bobbi Brown is available online at www.bobbibrown.com.au and at Myer and David Jones nationally.

Long-Wear Gel Sparkle Shadow + Liner (RRP $42.00, on counters October 5th) in the shades; 1 Night Sky (a gorgeous deep blue-black with blue and purple sparkles in it), 2 Thunderstorm (a dark gunmetal with silver sparkles) and 4 Sunlit Bronze (a beautiful deep copper/bronze with copper and red sparkles). They are all magnificent products to see in person, with their shimmering sparkle that catches the light beautifully. When applied, they are quite sheer (which is perfect for the 'shadow' part of the product, but in terms of the 'liner' part of the product, it was difficult to build opacity for a strong lined eye look. The products are super creamy and glide on very well. I am yet to test it's long-wear capabilities.
Night Sky

Sunlit Bronze

Creamy Matte Lip Colour in the shade 21 Warm Nude, a nude peach creme (RRP $44.00, available here). This shade suits my olive complexion perfectly. It is just on the dark nude side but compliments my eyes and brown hair really nicely. It is creamy, as well as being a matte and lasts for about 4-5 hours before I notice it needs to be reapplied. It's so soft when it's on your lips! I'm in love!

Natural Brow Shaper & Hair Touch Up in the shades Clear and 6 Rich Brown (RRP $44.00, available here). This product is very straight forward and tames the brows in place effectively. The rich brown colour is slightly too light for my eyebrows and make them look a bit ashy but on the right colour, it would definitely make them appear more precise.

Nail Polish in the shade Roza, is described on the website as a pink grey, but is more of a gorgeous sheer beige nail polish which applies perfectly in 2 coats. (RRP $23.00, available here)

What's your favourite Bobbi Brown products? I'm hooked on their creamy matte lipsticks and nail polishes!! Thanks for reading. xx

ELES Cosmetics - Winter Makeup Trends

Hey there! Today I have a post on some of the latest ELES Cosmetics from their Winter Make up trend which includes a lipgloss and a gorgeous coppery eyeliner, perfect for the colder months. I'll also be showing their dual action concealer and the small concealer brush too! All ELES Cosmetics can be found online here. Let's take a look!

ELES Dual Action Concealer (shown in the shade light peach, RRP $37.50) and the Small Concealer Brush (RRP $15.00) go hand in hand with one of the best concealers i've ever used. It has amazing coverage, only needed literally a tiny drop to cover both under eye areas as well as any blemishes on your face, is thick, sets quickly and will not budge once it has. Did you know that the dual action concealer can last you up to a year? It is really great value! I'm still perfecting using a brush to apply my concealer but this brush makes it easy to cover the under eye area and get into the inner eye corner where it can be quite blue/green from veins. The bristles on the brush are extremely soft and it picks up the right amount of product. I've been loving this duo team ever since I tried it!

You can choose what coverage you'd like with this concealer, thick, or light.
Blends effortlessly without creasing
Next up is this gorgeous Super Gloss in the shade Pomegranate (RRP $33.75), a gorgeous bright pink that gives a hint of colour. It is enriched with vitain A & E to soothe dry lips. This gloss is not sticky but adds a natural colour to your lips as well as hydrating them. It is stunning, and smells like lollies!

Finally, the Powder Liner Pencil in the shade Copper (RRP $43.25), a beautiful pencil of metallic copper (I am absolutely obsessed with copper anything these days), it is a very creamy, smooth and rich colour that applies easily and does not require multiple strokes for colour payoff. The formula contains Titanium Dioxide, a natural mineral for protection and natural staying power and Candellila Wax which provides softness to the formula. I tested this out on my hand and it blends easily, smudges easily for that smokey eye look and retains its high colour all day. I can't wait to do an eye look with it this weekend!

ELES Cosmetics have once again proved why they are one of my favourite make up brands! I'm always so excited by their products and look forward to more in the future! Thanks for reading lovelies.

Blinc Cosmetics

Hi guys! Today I have a fun and exciting brand to show you called Blinc Cosmetics. I have been trying out 3 products from this brand; the Tube Mascara (RRP $35.95), the Eyebrow Mousse (RRP $35.95) and the Ultrathin Liquid Eyeliner Pen (RRP $35.95). Blinc cosmetics are available to purchase online at www.blincosmetics.com.au as well as selected spas and salons nationally. Here's a look at the products.

Eyebrow Mousse: I received this product in the shade black. It is a brow mousse that holds and sculpts like a gel, tints hair and fills in sparse areas with water-resistant colour. Once applied it does not fade, run or smudge - which I noticed after I got it on my skin and couldn't get it off! This mousse is really great at making you look done up with minimal effort. The only issue I encountered with this product was the wand. As it is identical to a mascara wand (almost as big too) it was difficult not to over apply product onto my brows. I found it really hard applying this product at the very begining of my brows because the tip of the wand was loaded with the product and it literally just painted my brow/skin (as you can see in photo 2 below). Other than a quick fix up with some make up remover, my brows stayed put ALL day!
Natural Eyebrow - No product applied.
Eyebrow Mousse Applied - Product Overload
Once I had finished cleaning up my Eyebrow area, with Eyebrow Mousse
Tube Mascara: This mascara is awesome. I received this product in the shade black. It didn't give me noticeably thick, dark lashes, but actually a subtle, soft look which I adore for everyday wear. It feels just like a regular mascara does and is light weight, the only difference is the removal method. Holy moly I didn't expect it! I thoroughly rinsed my lashes with water and used pressure on my eyelashes with my fingers to gently slide the tubes off. It is a really bizarre feeling and sight seeing these little black tubes on your fingers afterwards. It was actually quite rewarding trying to pull all the tubes off, and then trying to pull any leftovers, only to realise there are no "left overs" with this product. It doesn't linger on the lashes like regular mascara, it comes off in 1 entire gentle pull and it's so COOL!

Ultrathin Liquid Eyeliner Pen: A very fine tip eyeliner pen in the shade black. As it is so fine it allows you to draw a very thin and precise wing to your eyelids. It did not fade, smudge or run even when I rubbed my eyes (accidentally forgetting I had make up on) and removes super easy too. I'm still trying to perfect my wing and with thin eyeliner pens on the market it is making it much easier to nail, thats for sure!

Here's a front photo of me with all these eye products on. It lasted all night long for my boyfriend's birthday dinner and didn't smudge or flake at all!

Which product do you like the look of next? I highly recommend the tube mascara! Thanks for reading.

Calvin Klein One Cosmetics

Enter my giveaway to win a Benefit Makeup Kit & Yankee Candle!

Hey guys! Today I have a few CK One cosmetics to show you today! I'm so excited to share this with you as these products left a great first impression with me! Ck One Color is the latest release of makeup by Calvin Klein and features their signature black and white packaging. I have the Mascara, Double-Ended Eyeliner and Pure Color Lipstick to show you. All of these can be found at Myer.

CK One Color Mascara in 800 Show* (RRP $30.00) - This true black mascara is encased in a stunning white and matte black barrel with a silicon brush. The coolest thing about this mascara is that you can lengthen the wand tip by twisting the very top of the lid, so if you're looking to lengthen and separate your lashes you can use the longer brush, and if you are after thick and voluminous lashes you can use the smaller brush. I also find the smaller brush is great for the lower lashes too. It applies perfectly but I found it quite hard to remove excess mascara from the brush therefore making my eyelashes look a bit clumpy. It removes very easily with make up wipes though.

Before & After Mascara Applied

CK One Double- Ended Eyeliner in Fiasco/Fortune* (RRP $28.00) - This double ended eyeliner has a dark midnight blue eyeliner (Fortune) on one end and a gorgeous highlighting gold eyeliner (Fiasco) on the other end. The pencils are creamy and give great opacity. I used Fiasco along my lower waterline and inner corner and used Fortune along my upper eyelid, smudged it all over the lid, then went over the line again to add depth. It looked gorgeous and the colours helped to open my eye up and look sultry. I will definitely be using this eye combination when I go out to dinner on Friday night.

CK One Color Pure Lipstick in Wow* (RRP $ 35.00) - This lipstick is a super gorgeous hot flamenco pink creme colour that is slightly matte for a long lasting effect. It is fully opaque in 2 coats. I love this colour and can see my self reaching for this colour a lot. The packaging is effortless and so compact, great for small handbags.

This is a great collection of make up by Calvin Klein and I can't wait to try their brow product too! Have a great day!

Curtis Collection by Victoria

Hello everyone! Today I have a few products from the new makeup range called Curtis Collection by Victoria to show you (check out the website here). Curtis Collection is an Australian owned boutique make up brand offering prestige and mineral make up selections. Today I will be showing you the Matte Bronzer Bronze Goddess*, the Glam Lipstick* (in the shade Pure Passion), the Luxe Liner* (in the shade Jet Black), Luxury Mineral Lip Mousse* (in the shade Toffee) and the Baked Blush* from the Goddess Collection (in the shade Show Stopper). Curtis Collection can be found online and at selected salons.

Matte Bronzer in Bronze Goddess* (RRP $49.50) - A super gorgeous matte bronzer that gives a really nice glow look. It is a beautiful compact the way the baked bronze swirls and intertwines. It reminds me of a Mac MSF. I love that it's matte and although it is quite sheer is it very easy to build colour.

Baked Blush in Show Stopper* (RRP $35.00) - A really pretty red toned pink that is super pigmented. This pink gives a nice flush of colour on the cheeks. You'll have to be light handed as this is quite opaque and can make you look slightly sunburnt if applied incorrectly! This suits my skin tone and would be very compatible with all skin tones.

Glam Lipstick in shade Pure Passion* (RRP $30.00) A really silky and hydrating lipstick filled with antioxidants that deliver long lasting wear. I was quite surprised when I saw that it was a metallic hue. Pure Passion is a medium brown bronze lipstick that gives your lips a slightly frosted and glittery look to them. I'm not the biggest fan of the metallic hue in this lipstick. I feel they look cheap and tacky, which is a shame as the formula on this is brilliant.

Luxury Mineral Lip Mousse in shade Toffee* (RRP $30.00). This is an interesting product. It's not a gloss, it's not a lipstick, it's somewhere in between but with a thick consistency much like a mousse. The formula and application on this was super effortless and very creamy. The colour toffee is literally like a gold copper metallic with so much shimmer in it. This colour I found to be strange for the lips, but I'd love to see how it goes on my eyelids as a shadow!

Luxe Liner in Jet Black* (RRP $35.00) is an awesome felt tip liquid eyeliner and super easy to make precise lines. It's spot on for the L'Oreal one I reviewed a few days ago and I love using liquid eyeliner in this way. This lasts pretty well but removes very easily with water.

I have to work on my eyeliner and trying to get that perfect line but I'm getting there! These products are very high quality and easy to use. I love the lipsticks as they are super hydrating with a really flattering colour for my skin tone also. Thanks for reading!
