Hi guys!! Today's AW theme is Polka dots! I went for a very simple monochrome polka dot look using 2 coats of OPI - Alpine Snow and 2 coats of Orly - Black Onyx. I like these simple nails and love them on my short nubbins!

OPI - Funny Bunny

Hi guys! Today I have OPI - Funny Bunny* to show you. This colour is a sheer white jelly. Think Essie - Marshmallow really! It is quite opaque on 2 coats for a sheer white. I love this clean, fresh and simple look, it gives my hands a nice refreshing look and very chic too! I finished it off with 1 coat of Wicked Fast.

Thanks for reading! Have a nice day and I'll speak to you all again soon! (After I finish this bloody assignments!)

Pretty and Polished - Party On My Yacht

Hi loves! Today I am showing you one of my first Indie brand purchases by Pretty and Polished called Party On My Yacht. POMY is a white base filled with purple, yellow and green small glitters. It applies very easily and is a very simply jelly sandwich in a bottle. I absolutely love this combination and wish I jumped on the Indie band wagon earlier. I used 2 coats for these swatches followed by 1 coat of wicked fast.

This is gorgeous and I loved wearing this colour! I have another Pretty & Polished colour to show you very soon! Thanks for reading and have a good day!!

A Stripey Lime Crime Mani

Hey guys! Today I felt like something really girly and fun so I opted for a multi-coloured nail with stripes! For this look I started with 2 coats of OPI - Nail Envy Original. From the pinky to the thumb I used 2 coats of Lime Crime: Pastelchio, Crema Di Lemon, Peaches <3 Creme, Once In A Blue Mousse and Lavendairy. I then used a white nail striper to paint stripes on. I'm not the best at painting even stripes yet but practice makes perfect! I love this look so much. I topped it all off with 1 coat of Wicked Fast. *Note, the white stripes on the green nail turned yellow, seems like Pastelchio has a stronger colour as it was the most opaque from all the colours I used as well.*

This look is super cute and so easy to do! I hope you try it out as well :) Thanks for reading!

Nautical Nails

Hi guys!! This is a quick post today. I wore this manicure for 3 days straight and I got SO many compliments! It was so easy to do as well. For this look I started off with 1 coat of OPI - Nail Envy, 2 coats of OPI - My Boyfriend Scales Walls and placed 4 pieces of striping tape evenly spread apart and painted over the top with Nails Inc - Baker Street. I finished it all off with 1 coat of Cult Nails - Wicked Fast et voila! Super chic and fun nails!

I hope you like this look and try it out! Thanks for stopping by!

Happy International Cupcake Day!

Today is International Cupcake day and to celebrate I have done a cute little cupcake mani, and i'm also going to be baking some mini cupcakes later.. woo! For this look, I followed cutepolish's tutorial, which you can find here. It is super simple and easy to do and looks so cute! I used 3 colours only: OPI - My boyfriend Scales Walls - the white, OPI - Japanese Rose Garden - the rose coloured pink with shimmer in it, and NYS - fuschia pink striper. Here is the look! Not bad for a first go :-)

Are you going to quickly make a batch of cupcakes now that you know its ICD?! :D
Thanks for reading! I hope you like this!! :)

Ikat Nail Art

Hi all! Today I saw a great video by the lovely MissJenFabulous on IKAT Nails, which is originally a dying technique used to pattern textiles. To see the full tutorial on how-to do IKAT nails, check out Jen's websit linked above!

The colour I used as a base was Orly's - Beach Cruiser, followed by a standard White Striping Pen, followed by Revlon - Metallic, followed by a standard Black Striping Pen. All topped off with 1 coat of Cult Nails - Wicked Fast. It wasn't too bad for a first go, I managed to get better on my second hand. I need to work on my black feathered stripes to accentuate the IKAT print more.

What do you think of the colours used? I hope you like this cool and easy nail art!

OPI - Don't Touch My Tutu + Accent Jelly Sandwich

Hey guys! I couldn't wait to try some new colours from the NY Ballet collection, even though it was released a while ago now! I wanted to try a jelly sandwich, but got so distracted with the beauty of Don't Touch My Tutu that I wanted to wear it alone. It's the kind of gorgeous sheer white creme that makes your nails look ultra healthy and clean. I wore 3 thin coats on each nail. For my ring finger I used Color Club's - Backstage Pass as an accent followed by 1 thin coat of DTMT. All topped off with 1 coat of Cult Nails - Wicked Fast.
I love this look! It is so clean and feminine and a beautiful change of brightly opaque colours.

Artsy Wednesday - Inspired by Independence Day

Hello hello hello! Today's Artsy Wednesday theme is inspired by Independence day. I am not from America so this day isn't celebrated here in Australia, but I still thought it was a cool theme, especially since the flag is very iconic with its three colours! I decided to use a technique called the Saran Nails, which utilises scrunched up plastic wrap to pick up colours applied over a dry base colour (here is a great tutorial by Katy @ Nailed It). The colours I used were; Nails Inc - Baker Street for the blue, OPI - The Thrill of Brazil for the red, OPI - My Boyfriend Scales Walls for the white, China Glaze - Techno for the glitter on the thumb, and lastly Jordana - Crystal Glitter over every nail except the thumb for subtle hints of glitter.

It wasn't too bad for my first try at the Saran nails and I definitely want to try it again! I hope you like :-)

OPI - My Boyfriend Scales Walls

Today's colour is from the latest OPI collection of Spiderman! It is called My Boyfriend Scales Walls and is a lovely off-white colour which is picturesque of the walls Spiderman scales in the movies ;-) I really like this colour but only a true nail polish fanatic can tell it's not a true white but nonetheless it's a keeper and I finally have a great white colour! This applied very smoothly and only needed 2 thin coats, all followed by 1 coat of SV.

I got a bit of fluff stuck on my ring finger after I put SV on lol

I really like this colour and am impressed. I have another spiderman colour to show you next with my new nubbins lol! What colour is your favourite from the spiderman collection?

TIGGER THEMED NAILS!

Hi everybody! Tonight I am going to a 21st dress up party and the theme is CARTOON so I decided to go as my favourite character...TIGGER! YAY :-)

Of course, I had to plan my nails so I decided to do orange with black shatter and an accent nail with a tigger water decal! I think it's pretty cute..what do you think?

I used 2 coats of OPI's In My Back Pocket and 3 coats of White on White by Revlon for the accent nail, followed by OPI's Black Shatter and 2 tigger water decals I bought on ebay for about $1 :-)

Cutie cute cute!! Yay I love it :-D
