Clinique - 2 in 1 Beyond Perfecting Foundation & Concealer

Hi guys! How are you all? Today I am sharing with you my review of the new Beyond Perfect 2 in 1 Foundation and Concealer by Clinique (RRP $50.00, available online here and in Myer and David Jones). This foundation claims to give a natural, beyond perfected look that lasts all day. Lightweight, moisturizing makeup covers thoroughly without clogging pores. Skin breathes comfortably, colour stays true, even through sweat and humidity. It is ideal for all skin types who want moderate to high coverage.

On first application, I noticed the consistency was very thick. It applies on very smooth and blends really well and sets within 5 minutes. In my opinion I found this foundation too thick for me. I even used this product just for spot treatments on blemishes and it did conceal them nicely, but I found it was really thick and turned powdery once set, which set into my smile lines. It was very noticeable around my dry patches (near the sides of my mouth), not so much that it would look like it was clinging onto the dry skin, but instead it was very cakey looking.

I recommend this foundation to someone with very oily skin as it didn't budge at all (even when using an oil to moisturise) but do not use too much as it will begin to look very cakey and thick. This foundation didn't work very well with my skin but i'm interested to hear if anyone has had positive effects with this product? Let me know below! Thanks a lot for reading.

Blended in perfectly.

Dusty Girls Natural Mineral Makeup Review

Hey everyone! How are you going? Today I have some make up to show you from the brand Dusty Girls which is a natural mineral make up company that uses clay and minerals from the earth to improve skintone. It is farmed by the brand MooGoo, that also has many skincare products available for skin that is prone to problems or sensitive. I'm very intruiged by this make up line so let's have a look at the products I received!

Dusty Girls - Natural Mineral Foundation SPF15 in the shade "Fair Minerals with Sunset Tones" (RRP $29.00 available online here) and Kabuki Brush (RRP $12.50, available online here) - I was very excited to try a powder foundation as i've only had the chance to try liquids and find they can look very cakey and unnatural. When I first tried the powder foundation it was very subtle and needed a few layers for it to even out my skintone. I applied it using the super soft Kabuki brush which is the perfect size for the face. I wore the foundation all day and it stayed really well and didn't cause any breakouts! One thing I don't like about this product is, because of the SPF, when it photographs you can see a white cast on your face (see below). But this is a minor problem for me!
White cast most visible on cheeks and around nose area
Dusty Girls Natural Mineral Mascara in the shade "Night Fall (RRP $18.50, available online here) and Natural Mineral Lip Gloss in the shade "Sun Shower" (RRP $14.50, available online here). Ever since I ran out of my holy grail everyday mascara I was on the search for a new one, and now I have! This jet black mascara gives you beautiful, natural looking eyelashes but makes them look so much darker. It has a really nice formula and did not cause any irritations when using it! The mineral lip gloss in the shade sun shower is pretty much a clear gloss with a very subtle wash of coral that brightens up your lips. It is super moisturising for a gloss and will be perfect over matte lipsticks to give them a nice shiny finish!

Left Eye: No Mascara    Right Eye: 1 coat of Mascara
1 coat of gloss over bare lips
Have you tried this brand out? Let me know if you do and what your thoughts are of it! Thanks for reading and speak soon.

Clarins - Extra-Comfort Foundation SPF15

Hi everyone! Today I have a new foundation from Clarins called Extra-Comfort* to show you. This foundation has an exclusive formula that plumps, hydrates and deeply nourishes. It contains a plant micropatch that helps control skin shine while also helping to balance moisture to the drier parts of the face. It is infused with argan oil and can be worn for up to 14 hours. It is a mineral-based foundation with an SPF 15. This foundation is available in 6 shades and retails for $80. It is definitely a luxury item and I would only use it sparingly for special occasions but you do get a lot in the tub (30mL).

I really like this foundation. It is really light weight but has high coverage so you can either apply decent sized amount to cover the whole face or just blot it onto any blemishes you may have. The colour; 107 biege suits me really well and gives me a nice dewy glow. I don't generally wear foundation but lately I have been breaking out so I decided to test it out all day. *Beware of ugly looking blemishes soon to come*. It didn't move at all on my face and I wore it for about 6 hours. It looked really fresh and made me look more awake also. Also, this product smells amazing. Clarins has a specific smell to their products, and if you know it, then you can relate! Also just to mention - my blemishes were really red so it was a bit harder to cover up completely as I needed to conceal with a green concealer prior to applying foundation.

I definitely need a beauty blender to blend it in better - but for now my fingers will do! Thanks for reading.

Benefit - Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow Foundation

Well hello there everyone! Today I have Benefit's highly regarded and talked about foundation to share with you today! Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow Foundation* (what a name right!) is a SPF25, brightening foundation with an oil-free formula. The colour I received is in Champagne ("Cheers to me") but I could of maybe gotten away with Honey as well (I wanted to be safe and be more pale than more orange if I chose the wrong colour). The coverage is great. I only used a small pea sized amount and it completely covered my whole face and neck area! I loved the way it made my face look, very highlighted whilst covering up any dark circles or blemishes I had. I did find it a little bit oily (ironically enough from the name) but that may have been because I use rose hip oil as my moisturiser every morning and night (even though I did apply this foundation on about 2 hours after I put my moisturiser on). It didn't feel cake-y, it felt like a tinted moisturiser and I really liked it. I tested the wear out and it lasted all day without moving or melting off my face which is great! This is a very loved product and I can see why! I also love that is has Vitamin C & E derivatives in it so I know that it's also repairing my skin as well as making it look more even. This is my new favourite foundation! What do you think of this foundation? Have you tried it yet!? Let me know below!
