Red and Black Flakie Combo

Hello everybody! How is everyone today?

For today's manicure I used 1 coat of OPI's Black Onyx and then 1 coat of Kleancolor's Chunky Holo Scarlet over the top! Kleancolor's Chunky holo scarlet is a clear black base with scarlet and amber glitter pieces which attract a beautiful colour in the right light. It is a very gluggy formula but only a thin coat is needed for full effect to be achieved. I then topped it all off with 1 coat of OPI's Insta Dry Topcoat!

Cloud Nails - Dedicated to the Lovely Ashley!!

Today's post is dedicated to my lovely work friend Ashley who bought me two new Orly nail polishes for no good reason! (and because to our discovery, Priceline (similar to Sally's) is selling Orly. . .and for only $5.00!!!)

The colours she picked out for me were; A lovely sheer barbie pink (Swizzle Stick) with a great formula and an absolutely stunner of a baby blue (Aspen) which is shimmery and could pass as a foil!  I also bought a third nail polish you see in the photos; the blue-green-grey colour by BK (No.# 53)

I decided to give cloud nails a go and for my first effort i'm pretty proud! I did a couple of nails with a bit too much nail polish on it so it's pretty thick and still drying as I type this, but I think it looks really cool how i've contrasted each nail to mix it up a bit!!

All in all, today was a great day and lots of thanks and hugs to Ashley!!!! :-D

Barry M & Essie Luxeffects Combo

Today's look started with Barry M's Silver Foil polish followed by Essie's Luxeffects Shine of the Times! If you saw in my earlier post I did a double gold combo and it was so pretty and this one is no exception!! Barry M's polish was a really nice formula it's just a shame about the thin brush! Essie's Shine of the Times is a thick polish and formula but I don't care because it makes any manicure absolutely gorgeous!!

OPI's Rumple's Wiggin' + Color Club's Backstage Pass

Today I have a combo of OPI's Rumple's Wiggin' with Color Club's Backstage Pass. Rumple's Wiggin' is from the Shrek link that OPI brought out a while ago but nevertheless it is a beautiful pastel lavender colour and great formula. Color Club's Backstage Pass is a clear base with large hexagonal pieces of silver, grey, lavender and pink. It was hard to apply but the trick with large glitter pieces is to just dab them onto the nail instead of paint it on, as you will find all the hexagons will move toward the end of the nail with an unnecessary amount of clump. I think this combination is really cute, it even got complimented on by a guy today lol! :-)

My First Giveaway

Kleancolor - Green HOLO!

Good morning pretties!! Last night I painted my nails with Kleancolor's green holo colour and i'm glad I did! This morning the weather was terrible! Pouring down with rain makes me feel glum, but now that my nails are glam i'll look at them and feel happy! This light green colour has a great sparkle to it. I am really impressed with Kleancolor's collection. The only down point would be that the formula thickens up really quickly. Anyway I used 3 coats of green holo followed by 1 coat of OPI's Insta Dry Top Coat!

OPI - The Thrill of Brazil MATTIFIED!

Hello everybody! I know i'm not blogging as often as I was in the holidays but i'm super busy with uni, and desperately miss being able to make new posts..but for now here is a look i've wanted to try for a while! For this look I started off with 1 coat of Revlon's fast drying base coat, followed by 1 coat of OPI's the Thrill of Brazil, finished with 1 coat of Essie's Matte About You finisher.
I love it! It has an edgier look than a normal red mani, and it reminds me of tomatoes (which I loveee!)

OPI - DS Mystery

Hellooooo! Today i decided i'd like a dark colour on my nails and chose DS Mystery. A purple base with gold specks of glitter through it. The purple is so dark that it could pass as black in the shade.
I owned this colour a couple of years ago and didn't really like it so I did a swap with a friend, but now that I have it again. .I really do like it! It's a nice difference to a plain black colour. Sorry I haven't been posting lately..I've been busy back at university! I'll try my best to post some more soon!

I'm going to try one of my flakies/effects nail polishes over this colour after a couple of days of wear and I'll show you all what the result looks like!

Kleancolor - Chunky Holo Bluebell

Today I have Kleancolor's chunky holo bluebell to show you. I decided to layer it over my bare nails because I did the same with chunky holo candy and that looked so beautiful! Unfortunately, this one didn't look as good with a bare nail but would probably look amazing over a dark colour to really emphasize the different glitter colours.
