Milani - Key West and a New Watermark!

Hey everybody! My last two exams are looming and I am getting a bit nervous....eeeek! Today I have for you a colour that I have been lemming ever since I saw swatches of this on Let Them Have Polish. The lovely Jasmine from Colour Coated did an amazing swap with me and got me this lovely along with some other super gorgeous colours!! Milani Key West is a deep teal foil that illuminates! The brush on Milani is quite good, I had forgotten what it was like, and the formula was good, it needed 2 coats for full opacity. I topped it off with 1 coat of Orly's Sec-N-Dry.

I've been playing around with some new watermarks today and I finally found a design I like so voila! My watermark :-) Have a great evening/day everyone!

This colour isn't what i was expecting! this is the most truest colour in photos as on my nails! I still like it, but it isn't exactly the same as over at Let Them Have Polish.

Essie - Mojito Madness

Hi everyone how are you on this Sunday night? Today I have for you Essie's Mojito Madness, from the Summer 2012 Collection. It is a very vivid grass green creme and is opaque in 1 coat, but I used 2 coats here to remove any unevenness. The formula wasn't the best, a bit on the thick side, which I find very hard to apply on my thumbs especially! I really love this colour though and is perfect for summer! (I wish it was Summer here!) Color Club - Daisy Does It

Hey everybody! I am feeling very happy on this Friday morning as I had my exam yesterday and it went well, but I still have 2 more so I can't celebrate yet! Today i'll be showing you a gorgeous colour from Color Club's Take Wing Collection! Daisy Does It is an amazing glass fleck daisy yellow which is well and truly incredible! I do not have anything even remotely close to this colour in my collection and i'm so happy with it! I used 3 thin coats and 1 coat of Orly glosser and it dried really quickly! I love this colour, because I just love yellow in general, and it also makes my skin look quite brown! YAY! haha. I bought two other colours from this collection so you will see those very soon! Here are some pics!

 Look at this delicious golden yellow! I am in love! My favourite yellow by far! Do you own any of the Take Wing colours? If they are anything like this one, i'll have to buy the ones i'm missing! Have a nice day! Thanks for reading :-)

China Glaze - Neon Collection 2012

Hey guys today I have a couple of colours from the Neon collection by China Glaze. I will be showing you Ride The Waves, a gorgeous navy jelly, Loves A Beach, a pretty pink shimmer with blue undertones and Orange You Not?, a mac-n-cheese mustardy yellow shimmer. I used 1 coat for all except Ride The Waves, which needed two coats (but still had slight VNL). The formula on these were brilliant! I'm very impressed with these and will be trying some more very soon! My favourite from these 3 colours is definitely Ride The Waves. Here are some photos :-)

Artsy Wednesday - 3D

Hey guys! in about 10 hours I have my first exam for this semester...eeeep! Wish me luck everyone! Today's Artsy Wednesday theme is 3D (i.e stick things on). So I decided to try caviar nails again! I didn't use the technique right last time, so this time i made sure I poured the balls over a bowl to catch them and it worked much better :) I used 2 coats of Orly's - Not Your Mama's Mauve, a pretty mauve colour with purple undertones, on each finger, and then used pink balls for my accent nail (which i bought on ebay for around $1 for a set of different colours) I like this look but I didn't wear it for long! The balls fell off after 3 hours lol :)

Sation - Love At First Lavender

Hey guys! Today I am very excited because I just received my haul from Transdesign and boy oh boy did I pick well! (with the help of inspiration from other bloggers)

I got more excited about my nail polishes than some clothes that I purchased online as well! That's saying something cause I LOVE clothes!

Anyway, it was very hard to pick which colour I wanted to use first, but I went with Sation's - Love At First Lavender, a true lavender creme with pink undertones, which is part of their new collection! I must say just by looking at the Sation i'm impressed! It is a BIG 15ml bottle and has an awesome brush! The brush is better than any brush i've seen from nail polishes, it is very straight, there aren't any long bristles poking out, and it is quite wide! But this colour was super hard to photograph!

Love At First Lavender has a gorgeous formula. 100% opaque in 1 coat, but I used 2 just to smooth it out. It is an absolute stunner and so feminine. I love lavender (the colour, the scent, the plant) a lot so i'm glad I have this colour!

Feminine French Tips

Hey guys!! It's Monday morning and it is a public holiday here, it is raining as well so the weather is not enjoyable for people with the day off. I really have to study hard this week as my first exam is on Thursday at 8am! Argh! Anyway, back on topic! I have a cute but simple manicure to show you today and I hope you like it! :)

I started off painting my nails with Cutex Ridge Filler (as I have just 1 finger that has some serious ridges. Can you spot it in the photo?) Then I got my circle stickers and covered my nail except my white tip so I could do a french tip. I painted all my fingers' french tips with OPI's - Rumple's Wiggin' and waited for that to dry. I was originally going to do a thin line just above the pastel purple with China Glaze - Midnight Kiss but my striping tape was annoying me and I couldn't find the beginning so I gave up and did dots instead! I think this combination is really cute and so simple to do! It is good if you want something a bit plain, but of course with an extra touch :)

I'm trying to get better at my dotting so you might be seeing a lot of them in the future!!

Orly Magnetic FX - Paint On Electron

Hi guys :) Today I have another polish from the Orly Magnetic FX collection called Paint On Electron, and it is a deep silver and charcoal colour. It was a breeze to apply and only needed 1 coat but i had a couple of issues with the magnet! 1. the magnet is too small for my thumb and only works on half of the nail. 2. the magnet actually pulls the polish on the nail upwards onto the actual magnet and removes some of the polish. Does anyone else have this problem with other magnet polishes?? Let me know i'd love to know!

Anyway heres a couple of pics. I really like this magnet design, it is an "S" shape and looks really neat!

I'd love for these magnetic polishes to come in brighter colours. Could you imagine neon magnetic polishes!?
