Sally Hansen - Blazing Blue + CND Effects - Sapphire Sparkle

Today I skipped over to Kmart to pick up some cheap BYS nail art lacquers which were on special for $2 (thanks to kelly over at kellyskolors for informing me!) and while I was scrummaging through the discounted and clearance bins I saw a really pretty Sally Hansen Insta-Dri colour called Blazing Blue for only $4 so I snatched that one up right away! Blazing Blue is a gorgeous deep blue with emerald reflective shimmers. Stunning! So today I painted two coats of Blazing Blue on and for the record, the brush is horrendous! It is lop-sided and wonky! Uh oh! I still managed to do a half decent job but nevertheless it's a bad brush! I then remembered a blog post I saw almost a year ago where CND Effects - Sapphire Sparkle was applied over a really similar navy deep blue. Sapphire Sparkle is an impressive layering polish used as a top coat to add dimensions and different colours to it. Let's just say, I was in heaven when I saw the colours on my nails! I love when my nail colour looks this good, it truly makes my day! Anyway I applied 1 thin coat of Sapphire Sparkle followed by SV. You need to try a combo like this immediately!

At certain angles my nails flashed blue glitter and then other angles it would flash a gorgeous ruby/magenta shimmer!

P.s. . pic heavy! Some of these photos are absolutely stunning if I don't say so myself but i'll let you be the judge of that!

I'm really impressed with my little Canon camera taking such clear images like this one just above! Makes me really happy when I can show you EXACTLY what I see on my nails!

Do you have a favourite under colour with a CND effect?

Thanks for reading!
